Of course it will, who would've thought different? It affects only PS4 multiplayer and not even every game.
And since PS+ is such a good deal everyone should subscribe by default.

I wouldn't mind having a second option. No PSN+, but a lesser price for only MP access per year.

PSN+ is nice, but I don't spend (save) enough or play everything that is free to make up for the $50 subscription fee. I don't need +.

So a payment for yearly access would be great.

Demand more. Start a campaign to MS just like the PS fans did regarding DRM. It does work if you stick together.

U make it seem like theres a price per app. Netflix doesnt cost x amount of dollars. Live back in 2002 was for playing multiplayer. Duh. Apps werent always part of the service but ppl wanted them so it became part of the service. Apps are extra at NO cost

again, Sony won't do this with the used games....if it happens, it will be EA, Ubisoft, etc.

MS is forcing this on us. Even if they aren't, the perception is they wanted since it is built into the box. Sony has left it up to the publisher.

The used games and DRM might end up the exact same on both Consoles but Sony will have had nothing to do with it.

i find it hilarious only 4 days ago fanboys would never pay for online and now their all high fiving Sony to the bank. In actuality Sony got away with one. They took advantage of all of MS blunders coupled with consumer rage and mindless fanboyism. The sun came up and Sony started to charge their fanboys to play online.

Sorry but you're wrong. I'm a PS only gamer, and I'm really good at justifying things I want to do or buy, but I've had to think about this whole thing a lot. Many others feel the same. I've come to the conclusion that PS+ is a great value so I'm going to get it. To me, that first year is justified by getting Drive Club free alone. I won't re-post all my reasoning again, but it's in the above comments if you really want to know.

But the bottom line is, there are plenty of people who are complaining about paying for online pay so your sweeping generalization is just plain wrong.

I pay for ps+ in ps3 but i still don't like the idea of paying for online. It just feels wrong even with ps+. It's like if we do this they will continue bringing other restrictions for their benefit not for us customers..

It will never be as good as the award winning xbox live service. microsoft is going to make xbox live the facebook version when it comes to social media. with amazing features this gen like unlimited friends, and twich gaming captures xbox live one users will have the opportunity to capture game footage and upload it to youtube and twitch and become possibly a youtube star. only posible on the xbox 360 for the bargain of only 59.99 a year compare this to a 200 dollar gaming capture device and you sill see all the savings.

Also psn+ is so bad you get free games a month but their games nobody cares about old games, if i wanted a ps1 game i would buy a ps1, sony are to cheap to offer award winning games like halo3.
