Paul from Denkiphile: "One of the things I love most in this world is Disney. I enjoy their theme parks, movies, and occasionally their games. I decided to check out the side-scrolling platformer Castle of Illusion, developed by Sega, for those very reasons. If you are unfamiliar with Castle of Illusion I don’t blame you because neither was I. Designed for the Sega Genesis, the original game was released in November of 1990. Players take control of Mickey Mouse who enters the titular Castle of Illusion to rescue Minnie Mouse from the evil witch named Mizrabel who wants to steal Minnie’s youth."
Dan from NuGame revisits an old school homage he missed the first time around.
Carl Williams writes, "All too often, when a company re-releases a classic title, they stick to the “inside the safe zone” method of doing it. This usually means simply updating the graphics and sound, if at all, and maybe adding some between level cinemas and calling it a day. Disney and company have gone above and beyond that with Castle of Illusion for Android (previously an iOS exclusive for the mobile world). This is how HD remakes should be, it is heavy on both ideals there whereas most “remakes” are simply “re-releases”."
Ha! You must be out of your mind if you think I'm spending 10 bucks on a mobile game.
I'll wait for a sale.
It’s this time of the year again: the GMG’s Summer Sales. And as usual, GreenManGaming promises it’s going to be blast.
The International Federation of Deals (IFD), lead by Alf, which has been formed to bring the best deals from all the four corners of the globe, has established a Summer Sales at GMG
The structure is simple: each day, from the 6th to the 13th of June, they will offer you daily deals, bundles, multi-buy offers, competitions and much more…
deals for the first day are poopoo. the best discounts are the same deals they have had for days before this.
Summertime is an awesome time to be a PC gamer because the deals are absolutely incredible. Especially now that it's not just Steam - GMG, Amazon, GoG, Humble Bundle, Origin, Uplay, etc. all do price battle this time of year.
I really wish the consoles would do this with their digital offerings, both on their store and through other outlets. Would be a great thing for them and gamers.
