It’s odd, when you stop and think about it, how video games have grown from basement shut-ins and techno-geeks to a full-on media powerhouse. Gaming has begun to seep into all aspects of modern culture, and in return modern culture has dictated the direction in which gaming seems to be heading. Strangest to me is the ever-growing popularity of watching complete strangers play games in your place; the gamer’s reality TV, if you will.

Wasn't this touted as a feature of Stadia previously and never came to fruition? I swear I remember a whole thing about "watching a youtuber play Assassins Creed? Just hit the embedded play button and immediately jump to exactly where they are in the game!"
