My Next Gen Console Nightmare

UM writes: After a night spent reading up on the latest upcoming console news and playing Arkham City for the fifth time or so, I relaxed on my couch to contemplate the future of gaming. I’m not a wealthy man in either currency or time so only one console at a time is an option. But which to choose? As I mentally weighed the various features of the latest from gaming’s Big Three, I began feeling sleepy. Contemplating the good times I’ve had with Microsoft this past decade, I smile at my fourth Xbox 360 sitting vertically in its spot next to my TV. “I’m going to miss you, old friend. You were the one who didn’t red-ring on me”, I yawned, and as I spied my worn copy of Orwell’s 1984 sitting on the shelf my vision began to blur. I just need to close my eyes for a second while I gather my thoughts.

lol this article is hilarious. good read. But honestly, all joking aside, the kinect's privacy rights implications is not a joke at all. If consumers are ignorant enough to allow companies to gather information from inside their homes with their appliances, there will be a day when all your appliances will gather information from you. This is the first crucial step in getting the public to accept this type of privacy rights diminishing practices and Microsoft is in a very good place to initiate a chain reaction that will see the fall of your last place of refuge from the influences of the outside world, your HOME... I didn't mean to rant but I really believe we are loosing our rights. It's no wonder that Germany and Australia have already voiced their concerns about the Kinect's "capabilities", some of which have NO gaming applications whatsoever. Just a word to the wise.

TMNT Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants review - Games Asylum

Games Asylum: "Well, this is neat. As the name suggests, Wrath of the Mutants is the rarest of things – a genuine arcade conversion. With most modern arcade games being ticket redemption machines, this is something seldom seen. In fact, the last arcade conversion we can recall was Raw Thrill’s own Cruis’n’ Blast on Switch back in 2021. This is also based on an older iteration of TMNT, harking back to the series from 2012-2017. It’s essentially breaking franchise continuity (we’ve had two different iterations of the Turtles since) and could even be considered nostalgic for a select few – those who grew up with 2012’s Turtles are probably in their late teens."
