What started out as a music video in 2007, which was illustrated by Ryohei Fuke and featured music created using Miku’s Vocaloid singing synthesizer program, eventually spawned a 50-minute video animation in 2010. Soon after, plans for a game on the PlayStation Portable commenced and in August of 2011 it was released in Japan. It wouldn’t be until almost two years later that America and Europe saw the game, which is called Black Rock Shooter: The Game.

Black Rock Shooter is a Japanese franchise based on characters created by Ryohei Huke. Gave rise to a quite popular music and later to an OVA, an anime, manga and now a game. The story follows a girl with black hair and blue eyes blazing. Is set in the year 2032, where humanity is in danger of ceasing to exist, suffering defeat behind to defeat in battle with some alien invaders, eventually humanity be reduced to twelve human. In a last attempt these humans try to agree a humanoid weapon, called Black Rock Shooter, this being that girl with black hair and the only hope of humanity.
