Dear Xbox One: Why So Complicated? There seems to be a whole lot of "rules" surrounding Xbox ONE. Aren't consoles meant to be something you plug into your TV and play games on?

... to get MY money, that's for damn sure.

Ritsujun1957d ago

MS stands for Moneysucker.

Relientk771957d ago

Wow you sorta summed it up in one word lol

money - it's what Microsoft wants

CRAIG6671957d ago

Yes,same as Nintendo and Sony...

Foxgod1956d ago

Any commercial company on the world wants money. they have to pay salary's and please shareholders.

Edit: T.V. is money, money is T.V. I like trains. Woe is me.

Petro1957d ago

No, they said TV but meant money.

KillrateOmega1957d ago (Edited 1957d ago )

Because if it wasn't, then it would end up being consumer friendly.

And we can't have that! /s

Relientk771957d ago

Who wants a consumer friendly console lol

LackTrue4K1957d ago

cough cough "Wii U" cough....

wastedcells1957d ago (Edited 1957d ago )

Because they realize there is more money to be made from the general public than from gamers. Everybody has a TV, most watch it. Few game on it. It's all about percentages.

WeAreLegion1957d ago

The general public isn't going to pick this up, either. They already have a television. We all do. I don't understand what makes Microsoft think people outside of the industry would want this. The Wii had Wii Sports. It was something many people hadn't experienced. I'm pretty sure most people have experienced television.

Hey M$, your console is a failure and i will not be purchasing it. If your paid damage control employees are reading this #dealwithTHAT

gamertk4211957d ago

I'm reading this, and I wish MS was paying me!

FrigidDARKNESS1957d ago

Their is nothing complicated about the xbox one. Gamers are spoiled accustom to the way jings are being done and afraid of change. Publishers have lost billions to used games and rentals.and can't continue to operste like this.some of you are new to console gaming and feel like you're being cheated.and some of us have been gming for twenty years or more but not reafy to adapt to change.

GribbleGrunger1957d ago (Edited 1957d ago )

'Some of us have been gaming for twenty years'? Jesus, just how are you? I was convinced you were in your teens.

WeAreLegion1957d ago

We are not afraid of change. We are afraid of never truly owning the video games we purchase. You can't put that sort of restriction on something and expect people to accept it. That's not how humans work. We can be restricted. We can even be enslaved. But it won't last forever. Sooner or later, we fight back. Massive restrictions will lead to piracy. That's how we work. Respect is something every person understands.

Did prohibition teach us nothing?

peowpeow1957d ago (Edited 1957d ago )

"can't continue to operate like this" OH YEAH.
That's why smaller publishers/devs put whole game bundles on humble bundle where you pay what you like, as low as 50c and they're not complaining are they?

Meanwhile giants like EA are up in arms,

amiga-man1957d ago (Edited 1957d ago )

I don't think anyone is afraid of change, I have seen many things come and go in gaming but when a change happens it is for the better in what way is anything M$ trying to pull better for gamers, this is about pure greed nothing else.

I have said I buy my games new don't trade but guess what any company trying this will never see a penny from me and i'm sure there are many people who will do the same.

Hell if I'm going to just give my rights away, stuff you M$ and any other company that tries this.

kingPoS1957d ago (Edited 1957d ago )

Comcast(MS) & Co are spoiled and accustomed to the way things are being done and afraid of change. Customers have lost millions to monthly fees and leasing and can't continue to pay mounting costs like this. Some of you who who have been stuck with a single ISP feel like you're being cheated. Some of us have been more than ready for ISP's to adapt to change.

Good thing Google's(Sony&Nintendo ) actually cares about their customer's wants & needs with Google fiber.

"Publishers have lost billions to used games and rental"

Links please. Actual numbers preferably and not some publisher corporate mouthpiece.

Also, you can post them here given that you have bubbles now, please don't bother PM'ing me again with your MS PR nonsense.
