it was bad enough with those multiplayer codes but damn they just took it to a whole new level

The multiplayer codes aren't that bad. At least it helps pay for the servers. Besides the passes haven't affected used game sales much. I'd say PS+ has done more damage to used game sales than the online passes.

However this whole check in thing just says that the company lost faith in its own consumer base. When you give us that type of treatment we all revolt. Why? Because it takes away our freedom little by little. Pirates will always find a way to re write code. It would require a completely new way of processing information in a language that no one could easily decode with a different authentication system to be at play.

Each console has tried but time and time again hackers find an exploit. In reality no one is safe from piracy.

What annoys me is how much Microsoft employees smile whilst announcing these things as though they're beneficial and desired.

"So we're going to remove your rights and get in on a chunk of that Apple pie but add some Microsoft cream so your physical copies are as worthless as your digital ones. But, buy from us, yeah?"

I hope gamers will make some kind of campaign to warn the mainstream customers about the many problems with this thing. I fear that many are clueless about all the anti-consumer methods the Xbone uses. The consequences for gaming and entertainment in general would be terrible if it succeeds.

I'm in. I'm a PS gamer, but I still want to support the cause.
