UPDATE: A Sky spokesperson has said: “We have no plans to sell Xbox hardware as part of a Sky subscription. We have a longstanding partnership with Microsoft by which we distribute our content via Sky Go and NOW TV on Xbox. We look forward to continuing to work with them as part of our commitment to giving our customers more ways to watch Sky programming in addition to their Sky+ HD box. ”
What benefit is there to any Telecom retailer to partner with X-1 when they ALREADY sell their own DVRs. In Canada, we have a Rogers "Nextbox" even, which would not only incur name/ branding confusion, but already links to tablets, smartphones and does everything the X-1 does - it even has crap games that the casual audience can boot up on their televisions. That's the biggest cable provider north of the border too, so I don't see much success in pursuing any of these angles up here for MS.
They've painted themselves into a corner on this one.
Well that was quick! xD
The only rumors I had heard was that just like us cable providers, the ability to route from cable box through the xbox one to control the cable box, but then again I'm not in the UK.
I never heard of sky, is it a dish network like direct tv?
Well I guess SKY doesn't believe in the" power of the CLOUD".....hahahah<get it?
