Money. Windows 8 incentive.

Is there really much more to it?

IF only they realized that their Halo audience doesn't own tablets and they own xbox's then they could just make another xbox game.

Who is going to buy this trash ?

To milk Halo even more, of course.

If this didn't have Halo in the title no one would care. It would be another mobile game.

You mean like the Uncharted board game?

SpideySpeakz4395d ago

Because they have no other ideas. So they gonna milk Halo has much as possible. MS sheepies still believe MS have their interest in mind. lol. They lack creativity.
MS should get out the hardware business, and stick to software. Matter of fact, just quit all together.

i wouldn't say they are out ideas per say, maybe out of ideas of spreading halo i mean like, halo lego, plush, statues, comic novels, tv series apparently, shrits, books, halo doritoes. halo games are still pretty awsome except for the fact that they are really riding this brand.... hard. even if it is the flagship of microsft, wait if this game is coming to IOS does that mean that halo technically isn't exclusive to Xbox (i know that halo 1 and 2 were on pc, im not sure if their others.. probably) so guys do you think Halo will eventually be on Playsation and who knows it might even go on the Wii U.

Hang on...Top down twin stick/arcade shooter...isn't that better suited for a console controller? The last thing I wana play on my mobile is twin stick shooter, they just don't work...

...Just release it on XBLA already so i can download it.

It looks fun. I have no problem with it having the halo name attached to it, but limiting it to windows 8 stuff is lame as hell.

Don’t despair; my personal top-five is here! these are games that I personally really enjoyed- if you’re into top-down (also known as twin-stick) shooters, you’ll want to check these out.

My personal favorite TDS of all time is Dead Nation by House Marque. I loved that game so much, and clocked so many hours into it. Can't wait for Alienation.

Review: Halo: Spartan Assault (Apple iPad) | Digitally Downloaded

DD:
What’s quite incredible about Spartan Assault is that it has managed to encapsulate the atmosphere and design of the Halo games, previously exclusive to Microsoft systems, into the confines of an iPad. From the way troops behave, to the weapons and locations, it feels like an authentic Halo experience, even though it's a top-down dual stick shooter, rather than a FPS, and that’s the best thing Spartan Strike has going for it.
