"If I had to rank a formative series of RPGs in my childhood, the Suikoden series would be at the top of the list.

Suikoden features traditional RPG elements infused with a compelling story set amidst the backdrop of a world based on Chinese fiction, which results in a truly wholesome videogame.

Sure, many RPGs are praised for their plots and attention to character development. However, there are very few games that can boast a character roster as extensive as Suikoden’s. Seriously, there are 108 characters who all enjoy some sort of character development. Everyone, including the leader of a liberation army to the man who built the baths had their own unique design and dialogue." - Tom Farndon
