Many gamers and analysts are eager to claim that Nintendo's latest home console is in trouble, but isn't this all a bit premature?
The funny thing is the third party games that are confirmed are among the best 3rd party for this year. Games like Watch Dogs, Rayman Legends and Sonic: Lost Worlds (exclusive). Bayonetta 2 (exclusive) could even release this year or early next. Nintendo hasn't even released anticipated announced games including Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101 (a new IP from Platinum) and The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker HD......with some more of the major gun titles that will be revealed at E3. Doomed? What an awesome doom. ;p
I agree with most of what you said, but keep in mind that Sonic: Lost Worlds is also on the Nintendo 3DS and therefore not a Wii U exclusive. I'm most hype for Smash Bros. 4, Bayo2 and WWHD but thinking they'll come out this year is wishful thinking.
Wind Waker comes out in October.
Well, Lost World is, at the very least, aNintendo exclusive. And if it happens like what happened with Sonic Colors, the 3DS version could end up being a different game to the Wii U version, making both separate exclusives.
There is no doubt that the games for the wiiu are going to be brilliant, even the 3rd party titles. Unfortunately, a console can't survive on brilliant titles alone (as stupid as that sounds). It's somewhat of a popularity contest. I told my friend last night I would buy a wiiu as a primary console if sony decide to approach used games in a similar fashion to MS. He straight up laughed at me... This is coming from a guy who says the 4 best games (and only ones he needs) are CoD, Battlefield, Fifa and Skyrim. Every gamer (I use that term loosely) I know has this mentality. I am definitely not the one in the position to be laughed at lol. This way of thinking and people's desires to follow trends is what can spell trouble for the wiiu. It will have great games.
In the beginning of this new console generation (last year), i never thought i would say this... At this moment the WiiU looks more appealing to me then the PS4 and X1. If i buy a WiiU (IF !)... It would be my first ever Nintendo console I purchase.
You just had to share that with us didn't you. You're good, I know what you mean. If you buy a Wii U (IF !) we can play some games online.
It might take another 1-2 years but people will eventually realize that Nintendo is dedicated to bringing good games to both 3DS & Wii U. This won't even be an issue 2 years from now but people will still try to knock them down for whatever reason.
3D Mario, Legend of Zelda U, Wind Waker HD, Mario Kart U, Super Smash Brothers, Pikmin 3
GTA V, Battlefield 4, Dark Souls 2...
50$ price cut + mario kart = BOOOM
nintendo hasnt even released the megaton that is their main games until then it ain over.. https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Bubble for making me laugh.
I agree with you but what bugs me is what if Mario Kart U os Super Smash Bros. U isn't enough to get gamers or non gamers excited about buying a Wii U. What will?
Watch Dogs Bayonetta 2 Deus Ex: HRDC Splinter Cell: Blacklist Zelda: Wind Waker HD Rayman: Legends Batman: Arkham Origins Project Cars X- Monolith Soft Project Super Mario 3D Super Smash Bros Call Of Duty: Ghosts That's just to name some. And COD is up there cause it's coming to the Wii U, I know it. And Sega's three game exclusives.
Whoa, you can't forget to mention Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem and Retro Studio's project!
As stated by the 10th Rider, let's not forget Retro Studios and whatever their new game will be :)
When you take away the multiplatform games that list shrinks quite a bit. Also, the biggest titles there like Zelda, the Monolith prohect and Bayonetta don't even have release windows.
lego city undercover is awesome
I love my Wii U. What I'm saying is what if all these great games fail to move hardware. What will turn things around?
@booni3 If you take away the multiplatform games that the PS360 have there's not many either, but nobody seems to do that. Just be happy that the Wii U is getting multiplatform games, because the wii didn't, and it definitely hurt Nintendo.
Looks like the XBone may have saved Wii U...I wouldn't worry about it.
yeah it's the xbox one who brings u nightmares, don't be insecure man, be happy :)
cannot freaking wait to see what retro studios has up its sleeve, those guys are super talented, donky kong country returnes is AMAZING, bought it on wii and 3DS and will buy 5 versions on for a sequel on WIIU
Am I the only one tired of these articles?, I think the press, forgetting that sales of the wii u jumped 200% globally, and which also takes only one-twelfth of the life of "wii u". writers, reporters, press in general, stop being idiots, and stop carried by the controversy.
after less than 10 days my life is gonna change...E3 nintendo direct and Bayonetta 2 + other games yeay!!!
The Wii u is a cool system and the exclusive games are gonna come, but it will need 3rd party titles too. The first party titles will do for me since I'll buy multiplatform titles on the ps4, but as of now its missing out on some pretty big multiplatform titles. Although at least watchdogs, AC4, & arkham origins is coming.
I didn't name every game but others are stepping up with them. This goes back to what I was saying about Nintendo and Microsoft exclusives. This is a battle and they are playing for keeps.
Wii U will win because why would anyone buy XBOX ONE to play e.g. sports games when he can do that on PC. Actually PS4 & XBOX one are PC's. Wii U is only console left (imho) lol.
i wish i had a 1$ for every time someone said nintendo was gonna fail id never have to work again
I think Nintendo know what people are saying about them & they probably thrive off all the doubters, then put there secret plan to action, come out with amazing games, increase sales & make the doubters look stupid!
why do you guys post the same articals every fuckin day.
