The Resident Evil series was one that never made its way into my consoles, and I’m actually pretty shocked that it didn’t. Resident Evil 4, according to my research, is one of the most critically acclaimed games of the Resident Evil series, and was considered one of the staple games for the Nintendo Gamecube, my system of choice during the previous generation. But a recent release has got me rethinking my neglect of the Resident Evil series, and that’s Resident Evil: Revelations. Revelations takes place in-between Resident Evil 4 and 5, and has been received quite well due to its improved controls and its captivating story. This release has also got me thinking about other game series that would benefit from an in-between installment.
