just not sure they wanted the people to actually "see" what they were "showing". I know I didn't and I was ready to be on board w/ their new box.

Funny thing though coming from "news.xbox.com". It seems MS as a whole, is always much more interested in the flash, hype , and talking up media reaction to and behind their "actions", rather than the actual substance of those actions.

HammadTheBeast2502d ago (Edited 2502d ago )

Pshhhh.

Sony stream had more.

7.5 million watching just on Ustream DURING the event, not counting 24 hours after it.

Facts are facts, just pointing a fact out before the "fanbois" start jumping up and down at this.

*Tips hat*

Now that the developers are starting to publicly state cloud is visionary and impressive tech, that will allow Xbox One to blow past any competition Sony fans are trying to force the *Me Too* card for Sony. Or they just stay in denial and say it's not possible with "NO" tech experience in the area!

There were rumors of the Xbox One using cloud computing months before the Xbox One reveal. Sony fans think PS4 will have Cloud computing as well and have dialed down their attacks.

Xbox One is designed from the ground up for Cloud/Azure on the hardware side, the infrastructure side, and the type of server side.

The PS4 does not currently have the ability to do what MSFT is doing on the hardware side nor the system sotfware side let alone the type of cloud servers and the amount(infrastructure). It's interesting that the rest of the gaming world is finally just now catching up LMAO

Hell even Nintendo knows this is the future http://n4g.com/news/1265823...

The problem is Microsoft is leading in this tech and while Sony & Nintendo may eventually try to add cloud servers to help to improve their games, they are both years behind Microsoft in this area!

When you offload heavy computing to the cloud like A.I. and extra effects...It free's up the hardware to do more. Xbox one out of the box is capable of 4k resolutions...So obviously games will be in 1080p 60 fps, I'm sure Ps4 will be too. But, with the power of the cloud, the xbox one will have a huge advantage!

Xbox One was built for the future, not for today!

1. If you don't have an internet connection, you might want to buy a ps4 or stick with your xbox 360.

2. If you don't have an HD TV, you definately aren't ready to get the xbox one! It only has hdmi output as it should being a true next gen device.

3. If you are scared of technical advancements such as having 1080p kinnect for games & skype on your tv or giving your friends the ability to control your game LIVE when you are stuck, and your console being able to recognize you and the ability to control your conosle, tv, music, video's and games with your voice or hand gestures...then the state of the art next gen xbox one is not for you! Stay in the stone age and play your xbox 360, ps3 or ps4.

While there are always a people scared to Jump Into the next generation of tech,I'm ready for it and I have a strong feeling there is a good 40 to 50 million xbox live gamers that are MORE THAN READY!

Also, Xbox One will bring in new consumers with the added functionality of the xbox one outside of games! And that's great news!

Sure they are leaving behind the non connected, non HD, non willing to grow the industry gamers! But that's okay! They still have the ps4! It's a win win for all gamers!

All I actually noticed in that wall of text was LMAO..

HammadTheBeast2502d ago (Edited 2502d ago )

Thanks for taking the bait friends.

Now. One word.

Gaikai.

Two, you really think "INFINITE POWERRSZ HURR OMG" will go flawlessly, with 0 input lag, 0 render time, and a perfect 60 fps?

If yes, you're a bigger tool than I thought.

Next.

I've moved past TV, any shows I need, I can watch instantly online. Bing.

Two, I have fingers, therefore I can use a remote. Bing.

Three, I can do everything "extra" on Xbone with my phone. Bing.

GG WP. Stick around.

Also, what's up Neverending1989. According to 1989, you should be 24 this year. Great alibi.

RonRico2502d ago (Edited 2502d ago )

@elite24
How do you know the ps4 will not use some form of cloud gaming? And how do you know the efficiency of each console's cloud computing? It's way too early to assume this type of online cloud computing will be a game changer.

stuna12502d ago

It's pretty obvious Microsoft knew just who was going to "Jump In" with their eyes closed! But with that comment, I'm going to have to jump out.

All jokes aside even with articles like this, Microsoft still as of yet done much to address the issues at hand! Yet there are all these positive articles coming out. If people don't see what's going on, I really do fear the future.

This machine is focused on media, and no one can see the correlation!? SMDH.

ShwankyShpanky2502d ago

Remember how the Cell made for a unique dev environment that required extra work on the part of the dev to get the most out of the chip? Now it's MS's turn with the "cloud." Let's see if they can pull it off.

>>So obviously games will be in 1080p 60 fps

Sony already had 1080p/60fps games on the PS3. Are you implying that *all* games will be 1080p/60fps? Because that is a boooold statement.

>>If you are scared of technical advancements such as having 1080p kinnect for games & skype on your tv

Hardly scared, just not interested. I have no "fear" of Kinect for games, but I do have concern about a spybox in my house. You may call that being "scared," but I'll call it "paying attention to a company's history and the general trend of the marketing/surveillance society that is being constructed." To call it "scared of technical achievements" is like saying I don't want BP to drill a well in my backyard because I'm "scared of oil," or saying I don't want to put my money in an MF Global account because I'm "scared of money." People that dismiss the spybox concerns are so beyond naive that it beggars belief.

>>giving your friends the ability to control your game LIVE when you are stuck

Um... PS4 will do that.

>>your console being able to recognize you

Why the hell would I want that?

>>and the ability to control your conosle, tv, music, video's and games with your voice or hand gestures

...which are more awkward and cumbersome than simple button presses. And personally, I fucking hate talking to electronics. I'd much rather "press 1 for yes, press 2 for no."

You keep your TV spybox and your head in the "clouds," I'll play KZ:SF.

BTW... PS3 had [email protected] and PS+ online gamesaves... so Sony already beat MS to the "cloud," they just didn't apply it to game processing.

thats like saying the Rebecca black Friday video was breaking viewership records...but everyone knows why...

Microsoft shouldn't even announce this... theres a lot of bad reasons why it surpased 8.45 million views.

alessandro102502d ago

@Elite24Gamer are you high?

Utalkin2me2502d ago

I would think MS drug test their employees.

Blacktric2502d ago

"I would think MS drug test their employees."

They stopped enforcing that rule for the Xbox One reveal period (from May 21st to "console"'s release).

That was the reason MS employees were clapping as hard as they can during the reveal.

lastofgen2502d ago

While I didn't really dig it even though integrating your entertainment center did seem nifty if it works right, my dad was really pumped for it. He's not into gaming at all, but the tv features excited him enough to want to get this thing for Christmas.

Me? I'm simply waiting to see the games at e3.

cyguration2502d ago

You don't mind the Kinect always listening, the 24 hour mandatory check-in or not being able to lend out or borrow games anymore? Some Xb1 exclusives would make you forget about those anti-consumer things?

NameRemoved00172502d ago

Don't forget ads, ads and more ads all targeted at you from what your kinect sees and what you search/play. Did I forgot more Ads on a SERVICE YOU PAY FOR. PSN is ad FREE and is FREE.

lastofgen2502d ago

Hmm, well, first off, there are privacy options for Kinect and I'm not really believing that whole 'Kinect is a spy device' theory. You can believe that stuff if you want, but I don't.
And the 24 hour thing- they said that's just a possibility and also, I'm not in an area where I lack internet.
And borrowing games? I barely borrowed or lent games before, so I don't really care.

So...yes, I don't mind those things.

Anon19742502d ago

And that's the issue I had with the reveal. Forget for a second all the noise that came after. The majority of people tuning in to see the Xbox reveal were either excited gamers who wanted to have their minds blown or game media who wanted to delivery mind blowing information to their readers. The people that watch these events are the hardcore fans and for them, they came expecting games. How could they not?

Microsoft should have saved all the other features for E3 where they could sneak it in between game reveals and demos. Watching the reveal, at the same time Twitter was flooded with Xbox fans asking the same question. Where's the games?

Microsoft had a huge opportunity to wow their fans and build anticipation for the console by giving them what they wanted. Instead, they gave them what no one was asked for. I think the reveal itself was a huge blown opportunity even before the muddled messages that came afterwards, and now that taste is still going to be present in gamer's mouths going into E3 no matter what Microsoft reveals and Microsoft has to know that.

What's puzzling is knowing how they've riled up their core base, what on earth is stopping them from simply coming out and clarifying what's going on? Doing so would go a long way towards calming the masses so E3 doesn't have this huge cloud looming over it. The only possibly reason Microsoft could have for not coming clean is if it's as bad or worse than what people are saying. Even if they were scrapping their plans, why not come out and say "Based on the reaction we're seeing we're back to the drawing board." That's all it would take.

nukeitall2502d ago

or MS doesn't respond to every fanboy whine!

There is plenty of time to clear it all up prior to release.

Anon19742502d ago

@nukeitall. If you think this is just a handful of 360 fans complaining as you stated then you simply haven't been paying attention. If this was just an isolated, vocal minority making a fuss, I'd 100% agree. Microsoft doesn't need to respond to every complaint.

Clearly that's not the case here. You have quite an extensive history of being a Microsoft apologist, but even you can't possibly believe what we've witnessed this past week is just isolated 360 fans who can simply be written off and don't need to have their concerns addressed.

The sooner Microsoft clears up the confusion the better chance they'll have to wow at E3 without having their message diluted. This is just common sense.

NYC_Gamer2502d ago

That's a solid number of viewers to be honest

cyguration2502d ago

lol, no wonder there was so much hate and vitriol after the feedback. Nearly 10 million core gamers tuning in for disappointment.

Bravo Microsoft, you just might win "Worst Company in America" in 2014 if you follow through with all the stuff you have in store for gamers.
