I have a bit of a confession. I love marble games, always have. Marble Madness on the NES, Super Monkey Ball on the Gamecube, that little wooden game my grandmother had (apparently called a Labyrinth Puzzle) and more recently Marble Blast Ultra on Xbox Live Arcade, I love them all. Give me a ball, a maze, some holes, and I’m there. I feel it is a horribly unrepresented genre in general, and there is no place where this is more apparent than the Android platform. It doesn’t seem to make sense, with so many devices including gyroscopic controls, the install base potential for these games are exceedingly large, and it is one of the few genres where gyroscopic controls are undeniably better than traditional ones, so it seems like a natural fit. Sadly the marble maze genre (not to be confused with the Marble Maze series which is just a ZUMA clone) is hopelessly sparse on the marketplace. Luckily, Core Dive is set to change that.
