Adways.it and Mutations Studio has a different approach to bringing over Western games which focuses on culturalization. They picked up Burn the Rope from Canadian developer Big Blue Bubble and published in Japan with new artwork.
Interesting, but I wouldn't want Japanese games coming to America being changed to suit a western audience. I have an appreciation for the different styles Japanese use for their games, shows, etc. I'm sure some feel the same way in Japan based on western things.
The results of trying to Westernize distinctly Japanese games would be a disaster. Can you imagine what would become of games like Okami or Yakuza?
So it's more aggressive localization?
