Turtle Beach Earforce PX51 Headset – Is Turtle Beach Still Top Tier? Gaming Irresponsibly

GiR: Our very first gaming headset review was the Turtle Beach DX11, and even at 2 years ago, it is still one of my favorite headsets. While we were at PAX East this year, we happened to see the new and improved lineup of Turtle Beach headsets, it was insanely loud but it was also easy to see that the headset quality persisted from the older generations. We were offered to have a unit sent for a a more intimate review, which leads us to the Turtle Beach Earforce PX51 headset.

Turtle Beach. The worst gaming headset manufacturer in the world. I know from massive amounts of experience with these easily breakable pos's and wasted money.

Wow, really? I have the halo reach and mw3 turtle beaches (not wireless) and I haven't had a problem with them yet. I had a pair of tritons that broke but the beaches rock for me. Sorry you have been having issues with them. They don't come cheap

You make it sound like Tritons associated with Madcatz. I suggest checking out Sony Pulse Elite headsets for PS3 and PC. $125-$135 on newegg.

Cant believe they try to sell this brand to gamers in Best Buy. Terrible headset brand for the amount of $$$ they're asking.

That's almost exactly what I was going to say. When were they ever? These sites focus mainly on cheap gaming phones instead of headphone amps and higher quality cans that can work with most gaming devices.

IMO, even though it falls in line with Turtle, Tritton, etc, Astro is the best gaming phones $300 and under.

Personally I own or have owned all the cheaper gaming phones but primarily use a separate headphone amp and Sennheiser HD 800 cans.

I haven't bought a pair in a long time. But my Corsair HSA headset works like a charm. I love it.

And Astro's are awesome man. Simply some of the best you can buy.

Ive been with turtles day one. Best headset quality ever. THEY DONT BREAK EVER. And theyre amazing for COD. Thats all i need

i never had any break and they work really well, but depends on your console of choice, on the xbox still use TB and works great, on my ps3 i use sonys headset the pulse elite and i can say sonys headset has way better sound,all way around better headset.. so i cant say if its better than the higher end TB but it is better than the two tbs i have.. just my opinion
