I’m a sucker for a great story so I love coming across a good plot twist that shakes me to my core. I thought back to the most memorable moments that I've come across. Bear in mind, I’m mostly a console gamer so I’m bound to miss some big ones like System Shock 2 (I know there’s a twist, but I haven’t gotten to it yet. I’m playing through it currently when I have time.) Now that that’s out of the way, let’s have a look at my top 10 favorite plot twists in gaming.

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.
Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.
The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

Mario 64 is great but I wouldn’t put it over Mario World.
Sorry lol. I wrote the article but 5 of us voted for many different games and majority went on the list then we worked on the list. If it were just my personal top favorite we'd seen some xenoblade and star ocean as well as some others. Thanks for checking out it!
The early 2000s was a crazy, weird time of defeating dystopias with karate, sending texts via Microsoft Excel, and ignoring your pets so you could look at jpegs of pets. As its adverts might have suggested, the PlayStation 2 was no stranger to getting a little bit freaky either.
..that article /list is only scratching on the surface of the weirdness on ps2. There are way more obscure games on that console.
I would go alone with SOME on this list but a few arent even exclusive.. in fact the PS2 version of GIANTS is an after-thought and considered bastardized compared to the PC version.
