GameTap: Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds Review - 'Ten years in and still well under par'

GameTap writes: "It's been nearly 10 years now since the first Hot Shots Golf hit U.S. shores. That means that developer Clap Hanz has spent the better part of a decade diligently avoiding making any substantial changes to the successful formula.

That being the case, if you're expecting Out of Bounds to be any kind of significant departure for the series, you're going to be disappointed. Oh, the game's got its share of tweaks, refinements, and additions, to be sure. But the fundamental gameplay is--and most likely ever will be--precisely what you'd expect from Hot Shots, and little more."

Pros: The fundamental game is still remarkably fine; solid online play offers major replay value.

Cons: Some odd, almost lazy choices in presentation; little character customization; limited selection of courses.
