Colombia Professor Sues Sony, Nokia, and Toshiba And Others For Copyright Infringement Claims

A retired Columbia university professor has alleged the infringement of light-emitting diodes (LED) and laser diodes (LD) patents by 30 consumer electronics makers, including Sony, Nokia, and Toshiba.

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) has agreed to hear a case filed by Gertrude Neumark Rothschild that seeks to block the importation of a wide array of consumer electronics.

Another reason for patent reform

patent trolling and ninja attacks on corporations years after they start using a product is completely unethical and dishonest.

patent is from 1993 that they supposedly violate...
why has she not done anything about it before. There is a thing in patents that states of you do not defend it immediately you lose the rights to it.

Columbia University, thats in 116th street in Manhattan, NYC in the Harlem District. I live way north from there at about 172nd street.
