DotMMO Writes:"Locojoy has just released its I AM MT: Card Battle worldwide. This game has been out for a while in Asia and it has been wildly successful, boasting over six million active players on a monthly basis. It is a card collecting game based on the popular Chinese web cartoon “I am MT”, a show about World of Warcraft players. The game consists of taking small groups of heroes (up to six) through dungeons and into battle against monsters, bosses, and even other players."
China’s mobile gaming scene is massive, and for the most part, it’s pretty unregulated. There are tons of third party app stores, and a small enough game can get away with a lot just by flying under the radar. But yesterday China’s Ministry of Culture took a step towards cracking down on these games with a publication on its website naming and shaming violators and giving them until the end of the month to clean up their act.
Ministry Of Culture, really? Sounds like a big brother organization straight out of a Harry Potter movie.

"One of my favorite pastimes in high school was to play Yu-gi-oh and Magic: The Gathering; I would often spend my weekends playing in tournaments. When I was told of I AM MT and that it was a huge hit in Japan, my interest was piqued. I often put game on my phone to play while I’m on the go or sitting in a boring class, but usually delete most of the games from boredom or never playing them. Will I be removing I AM MT from my phone any time soon? I do not believe so!"
