Top Ten Xbox 360 Exclusives

We love all of the third-party support and Xbox Live (though we'd rather have it for free without ads), but we hate how poor Microsoft's first-party output generally is, how bad Kinect is for anything other than sports or mini-games, and we loathe how awful Red Ring of Death (we're still haunted at night by those flashing lights) was. Regardless, coming up with a list of ten worthwhile exclusives that the Xbox 360 currently possesses wasn't as difficult as we thought it would be.

Don't get us wrong. We've enjoyed our time with Microsoft's second gaming home console. This list of ten exclusives for the system is but one reason why we find ourselves still slightly enamored with the Xbox 360."

This article is correct and incorrect in some ways.

Tales of Vesperia while exclusive to the Xbox 360 in Europe/US, the game was released on the PS3 as well (Japan only).
Ninja Gaiden 2 got a PS3 release also, in the form of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (updated version).

We mentioned Tales of Vesperia is only exclusive in the West to the 360 in the description of that game.

As for Ninja Gaiden II vanilla version, that is still exclusive to the 360.

A lesser version of Dead Rising was ported to the Wii, so it really isn't an exclusive either.

Also the Japanese version of ToV had additional content and stuff not featured in the Xbox version of the game, so it was also an updated version (like NG 2).

Dead Rising was awesome. I remember playing it nonstop when it first came out. Plus the music with the psychos was awesome. That is my number one xbox exclusive. Halo Reach was the best Halo in my opinion but it should not be number 1. Forza is awesome. Gears was good. Crackdown meh. Saints Row meh. Banjo meh.

Fable II was super awesome, Fable III still good.

Alan Wake was outstanding and probably one of the best games this gen.

Kameo is sooo underrated as well.

Forza Horizon instead of Forza Motorsports seems just strange, but at the end it comes down to personal taste.

No Lost Odyssey? It's arguably one of the best JRPGs this gen.

Vesperia- as noted by others- is not a platform exclusive, though it IS exclusive regionally.

Ninja Gaiden hardly counts as an exclusive, since it IS on another platform; the 360 version being "vanilla" isn't really something to brag about.

Good to see Crackdown get some love though. Super fun game.

Viva Pinata is not exclusive. It's on the PC too.

It's a console exclusive, owned by Microsoft and developed by Rare. Microsoft doesn't look at PC as a game console or competition, which is why they choose to publish some of their games for PC's.

Point is, you cant play any of the games I listed on another home video game console. Considering you need Windows to play these games anyway, I think the point is moot.

Pretty sure PC players and the folks at Steam would disagree there, jek. Not competition because of a windows os? Sony has a sony pictures presence on the 360 via the apps, doesn't mean sony doesn't view them as competition anymore.SOE makes exclusive pc games too.

The xbox ign, gamespot, gametrailers apps on the 360 are loaded with ps3 and wii-u previews and reviews as well. They're still competing platforms. If the pc wasn't competition, they'd have all the halos and not just one or two from years ago. Same with cod map pack timed exclusivity.

The pricing and content discrepencies between valve content on PC vs 360 like L4D, team fortress and portal 2's pc-ps3 crossplay tells me PC is still its own independant platform. The "console exclusive" terminology is definitely an important footnote when claiming multiplats as exclusives. From splinter cell conviction to diablo 3.

Seems to me someone was mouthing about variety in Xbox's games earlier, but this list shows Sony has little of that. So that has to mean that Sony only relies on those games and has no others.

PS: Great 360 list but no MGS4 on the PS3 list? And whats with all of the Uncharteds on there? I know even the most rabid fanboy could name some better than at least 1 and 3.

Wolfenstien 2009 (Yea I know it's not an exclusive, but the PS3 version wasn't that great. The 360 port was pretty good though. Underrated game)
Singularity (Another underrated game. I recommend the 360 version as well.)

Other than that, there's really no other 360 game that makes me go crazy.
