The Warriors coming to PSP

The game is in development at Rockstar Leads in conjunction with Rockstar Toronto and will be in stores this holiday season in both North American and Europe.

"We set out to create a highly sophisticated portable game that delivers a visceral experience previously unseen on the PSP system," stated Sam Houser, Founder and Executive Producer of Rockstar Games. "We are looking forward to setting the definitive bar for the brawler genre on the PSP system by delivering an extremely stylish and exceptionally deep experience."

According to Gordon Hall, President of Rockstar Leeds, "The PSP system allows us to deliver the experience in an entirely different way, while staying very faithful to the original source material and maintaining the high standards we set for ourselves as a developer."

i don't know why they keep on porting console games to the PSP. in most cases, the games are stripped down versions which is not worth buying. we PSP owners need original titles, or at least developed from ground-up to best suit the handheld. when will they learn...

If it's a good game, I'd rather have the option of having it than not. Wouldn't you? Nothing wrong with ports. Gamers are acting more and more like spoiled brats these days.

i can understand your point about at least having a port than not having one, but i prefer games that are custom develope for the PSP like Killzone Liberation.

Of course it's preferable, but that doesn't mean bringing ports to the PSP is a bad thing. More ports = more games, more options. It doesn't prevent new games from being made.

ARGH. I disagreed with my own post. Stupid MOUSE. ;) I hate Wednesdays.

I agree with comment 1. Why aren't we getting original content for the psp? Why are we getting stripped down versions of console games at new prices? It's getting a bit frustrating. There are a few original titles but that doesn't compete with the slue of ports :( Gamers are spoiled brats? Hardly we are just tired of not getting new games. We are tired of paying full price for games that ported and have less amount of content. Thats not bratty that's just being sane

Fantastic homage to a memorable part of the original. The authenticity to the source material is outstanding and blows away all of the pathetic Hollywood adaptations that we've had to endure as fans. The addition of Chris Redfield's original actor AND (separate) voice actor is fantastic! Heck, even the CGI was pretty good given the total budget of $55k to make this.

Yeah this seemed so much more like cannon to me. I’d watch more of it if / when it’s available.
