Tearaway pre-orders beating Grand Theft Auto V, The Last of Us, others at ShopTo

PlayStation Vita sales figures might not be at the levels Sony's hoping for, but Jim Ryan and co. can take comfort that a couple key PS Vita titles are in extremely high demand.

Snookies124099d ago

Wow, that's surprising. Tearaway looks freaking awesome, but I wasn't expecting it to do so well with pre-orders.

miyamoto4099d ago (Edited 4099d ago )

Does Media Molecule being British have something to do with this?

Tearaway being 3D looks like a prototype to the 3D Game Creator game MM demoed for PS4. That game is one of my main reasons to get a PS4.

Testfire4099d ago

I think it has more to do with MM being a damn good dev team. They have beautiful game design and innovation.

PirateThom4099d ago

It's also really cheap on Shopto as well. £23.

HarryMasonHerpderp4098d ago

Which was probably a big reason for all of the sudden preorders.
Maybe £23 is where all Vita games should be.
I know I sure wouldn't complain if that was the case.
Now to preorder! =D

ps3vita4life4099d ago

I really hope this game does well so that developers can make more games for the vita.

dafegamer4099d ago

I'm so happy. Seriously this is the beginning of Sonys own 3D mario like franchise: Tearaway. I have no doubtz that it will be the best Vita games this year. Sorry Killzone but
Tearaway will definitely be the best this year. You guys can downvote me all you want, just wait and see ;=

Thirty3Three4099d ago

I understand what you're saying, but what I don't understand is why you're saying it as if it were a fact?

dafegamer4099d ago

cause critics will definitely be harsh on Killzone unfortunately. I can see some delusional critics comparing it to the ps3 versions. Tearaway on the other hand is a new innovative IP
created for Vita, just like Gravity Rush last year
It will automatically get + points for being a completely new experience. It will be Uncharted golden abyss vs Gravity Rush all over again

SandWitch4098d ago

Yeah, those touch melees will automatically make the game 7.5 for most reviewers. Just like Uncharted

ps3vita4life4099d ago

Your absolutely right, there is no denying that Tearaway is the or one of the best and most exciting games coming out for the vita this year. I really can't wait to play this game.

Kingthrash3604099d ago

game looks good enough I was surprised about these numbers... go vita

Eonjay16d ago

Does this mean that Palworld is getting an anime?

Abnor_Mal16d ago

Crazy that they’ve formed a partnership of sorts, but the game itself still haven’t been released on PlayStation

badz14916d ago

It's still in Early Access. If it ever goes gold, there will definitely be a PS5 version, might even be a PS4 version too

Abnor_Mal16d ago

I still have no clue what this game is all about, to be honest.

badz14916d ago

@Abnor_Mal

If games like ARK is not to your liking, then Palworld wouldn't be your cup of tea either...I think.

New Sony Controller May Let You Draw Your Own Buttons Using Conductive Ink

Sony has published a new patent about a controller that can be completely personalized by a user, including its shape and layout.

TFJWM31d ago

It is just a patent if it is new tech you file it

S2Killinit30d ago (Edited 30d ago )

Dont get me wrong, I love that Sony does these research into new tech and all, after all it led to something as fun as the Dualsense, but im just asking why this particular tech would be useful in any way.

Profchaos30d ago (Edited 30d ago )

Interesting idea likely something that will never actually be produced but Sony's simply securing the paten

Profchaos30d ago

Common practice really so many companies pattern troll because they either intend to make a product or just want to hold onto the rights of the idea there's some insane ones out there especially at the dawn of the internet.

You can have no intent to use it but this is just saying you thought of it first

kylegeorge8830d ago

yeah no, the controllers need the hall effect before investing more time and money into quirks.

BlackDoomAx30d ago

But how will they sell as many controllers if they do that?

fsfsxii30d ago

Maybe consider your personal hygiene before blaming someone else for your controller defecting

DustMan30d ago

I doubt @FSFSXII even knows what hall effect is. What a turd.

y2mate30d ago

great idea, but will it fully distributed to other continent ?
