Ben is not unlikable at all you muppet.

The point of his character is to force the player into difficult choices. Since TWD game is trying to show the realistic and emotional side of surviving in a post-apocalyptic world, there has to be a character like Ben who is cowardly, idiotic and useless. The point is not to get mad at him for being an 'inept' character but to get frustrated by him and pity him at the same time. He fulfilled his role perfectly there.

I agree with Hope as an unlikable character. Badly written. He hates the guy who his mum willingly volunteered to help and died for. And wants to kill him but is too chicken to do it and we have to bear this painful illogical angst for 30 hours.

Jack Marston - well, I don't remember if I hated him.

Cooke And Mack - The last time I played LO was so long ago, so I can't remember as well.

Agreed, I liked Ben. He was funny. I love it how Kenny shoots down Ben's idea so quick; "That's Fu***ng stupid Ben".
Ben fulfilled his role perfectly. He was the one who made you question loyalties and such as you said.

Jack was a cute boy. He started off cool when you first meet him, although I thought his older self was a bit "eh". He was all right though.

Cooke and Mack were good. They were sometimes annoying, but overly I thought they brought a child element into an otherwise very adult game. Some funny moments too, although Cooke knew how to be an A-grade bitch.

What made me like Ben was that his heart was in the right place. He wasn't a jerk or anything. He tried his best but he was just a complete fool when it came to decisions.

It is not "unrealistic" to dislike a real person for being an idiot, so why would it be "unrealistic" to dislike a character in a game for being an idiot?

I understand his role in the game...but I still despise him for his cowardice and idiocy.

I dunno, I feel like Snow was worst than Hope and should realistically be on that list over him. His 'Hero' complex pissed me to no end.

Hope beat Snow on the annoyance scale for me. Mainly because Snow had use outside of his annoying character.

Coz at least Snow was a badass tank lol Hope spent most of the time dying w/ his wittle hp. I'd swap in Snow often for boss battles, but never swapped in Hope (unless it was required)

I really really HATED Ben. Literally task he is given he fails at, He never stops complaining and he gets people killed.

Only character i killed in WD and i pressed the button to kill him in about 5 seconds of it poping up.

Lymle from Star Ocean and Heller from Prototype 2 are my least favourite characters of this gen. I actually liked Cooke and Mack, I thought Hope was a pussy but he didn't bother me so much, didn't play Walking Dead and didn't finish Red Dead Redemption so no opinion on the others.

The bastard from Demon's Souls that you freed and went on to kill everyone in the Nexus while you were away... FU** HIM! But the game at least lets you get revenge after you reset the game so it's not too bad :p

I agree with everyone except for ben,have you lost your mind,boss about Rico from killzone hes definatly one unlikable guy,Connor from ac3 was definatly unlikable,and for me personally id say trip from enslaved was unlikable as well,she could hardly defend herself,she came off as annoying,heck I was ready to let her get killed,and finally new dante(and no its not because of the hair), the guy was just a d!(k his personality would switch from caring for 1 scene to a jack@$$ in the next.

I've never understood the hatred for Hope. Essentially, he was a sheltered kid who saw his mother die before his eyes, and had to work with the man responsible just to survive. People seem to think he should have gotten over it, but the whole game only takes place over the course of a few days.

Do the people that hate him really think they'd have done much better under the circumstances?

Sure, he's not my favorite character from the game, let alone the series, but I think he was a pretty well-portrayed character.

Drake is just so smart but dumb. He always trying to play the hero. Basically Jason Dante in Uncharted: Golden Abyss explained how Drake was and it was true. I stop liking Drake after Uncharted 3.

Rico was just the most annoying character ever, I was hoping he'd die but nope, I only bought Killzone 3 in the hopes that he'd die, nope. Damn it.

As for Nathan Drake, I don't like him at all. He's just a generic pretty boy and Naughty Dog can't decide whether he's a genius sympathetic action-man or a clumsy murderous fool.
