MTB: Dragon Fantasy: Book I is a game for those who are curious about the early years of RPGs, or people who want to look back on them. Expect grinding, a high enemy encounter rate, and a story that doesn’t take itself too seriously along your way. Muteki Corp has made some pleasant concessions to make these old problems a lot more tolerable by modern standards, and in doing so has created a fun little RPG. It’s not without some issues (including some that stem from the old games it’s inspired by), but it is still a great little game to take with you on the road.

Muteki’s Dragon Fantasy: The Volumes of Westeria will be published on Steam, Wii U and 3DS by Bit.Trip/Woah Dave developer Choice Provisions this year. Volumes of Westeria is an updated version of both Dragon Fantasy Books I and II, originally released on PS3 and Vita.
