Gi - Microsoft announced last week the long-awaited reveal of the next-generation Xbox console will take place May 21 at an event in Redmond, Wash. With that, the next generation of gaming is closer than ever to becoming the current generation.
No. Awesome epicness. In all seriousness, after the reveal, you can expect there to be 3 major camps. Camp 1 (Pro X-box): Ha! Told you so, Sony Defense Force Suckers! Camp 2: (Pro Sony): Yawn. All they did was copy what is in the ps4. Camp 3: Are those games coming to the Wii U anytime soon?
you forgot one: Camp 4 : (pro Gaming) Sony did great!, Microsoft did great Nintendo is gonna step it up soon! I love gaming without the fanboysim! There's still a few of us out there that may favor a console but are in no way a fanboy to one. just sayin
@Omar91: Sadly, there are few of us. Look at my attempts at parity dealing with the Soul Sacrifice reviews.
um games, the specs and no console reveal
I just want to see if any of these always online rumours are true and if they're gonna bring their "A" game when it comes to games and new IP's. I'm not gonna be buying the next Xbox if all Microsoft are gonna offer me is Halo and Gears again.
halo, gears, forza, kinect 2.0 and TV features.
Xbox needs to learn that listening to consumers is important. So i expect them to leave the always online requirement for Xbox Live itself. Not for games to be played. Xbox Live and the apps always require online. As for games , I dont know. Call of Duty isn't exclusive to MS, so they need to show some new games. If they do pull a always online for system itself, they for sure lost me as a customer cause they didn't listen
CALL OF DUTY!!! FORZA AND KINECT!!! let's just wait and see, only 20 days to go...
Not forcing the system to be online only, drop the XBL fee, and get some exclusives that appeal to me
To be honest, free XBL doesn't seem like it's going to happen. If people are still paying to pay for online with an increasing population, I don't think they'll just stop. Who knows, maybe even Sony will pick it up if it's working so well with Microsoft.
I don't think so. That's what critics and gamers alike praised sony for. A free online subscription which is almost as good as Xbox live in terms of stability. Even jim sterling ate his words that PSN sucked but now he is so happy about it. And sony copying xbox live pay to play, they will lose a lot of consumers including me. I think they know better. But you are right. As long as people pay xbox live, MS will not stop.
If they don't bring new cool games that aren't from their major series then I really don't care. Of course Halo is great...Gears has stayed it's welcome I think..at least for a few years...def a new Fable(maybe an MMO?!??!"),Alan Wake 2, bring back Banjo Kazooie the way everybodywanted it to be brought back....and how about some new IPs to make us all stop thinking MS is incredibly reliant on their old stuff
Another fantastic showing.
Awesome Kinect 2.0 games.
