GameRevolution:
"I haven't gone back to Animal Crossing since the DS got its own spin-off of Nintendo's friendly home-owning simulator, Wild World. Having my town and its residents in my pocket made daily play a cinch and I quickly grew addicted to the experience, but I always felt like new mechanics were missing. How was it any different from the GameCube version I had spent dozens of hours on? Falling out of the Wild World experience hurt. I slowly spent days away from my town, and the denizens within recognized my disinterest."
The Animal Crossing games hold a special place in our hearts. They're not free from our judgment, however. Let's rank them all!
BLG writes: "While it didn’t sell as well as the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo 3DS was nonetheless a wonderful system. And, while this may be a hot take, it’s easily my favorite handheld. Even more than a decade removed from launch, the system’s library has so many titles that feel as fresh today as they did back at release. While it was hard to narrow down, these 30 Nintendo 3DS games are emblematic of the system’s success."
KeenGamer: "The Nintendo 3DS is officially ten years old, so we thought it would be a great time to highlight the best games on the console. The last dedicated handheld by Nintendo was a unique device that provided many incredible and unquestionably great experiences."
Swap OoT for Majoras Mask and Pokemon for Xenoblade Chronicles and you might be on to something with this list.
All this 3DS software has me worried for the Vita...
Good thing I have both though! Love my handhelds.
Loved the GameCube one, but it's been a while. I skipped the DS and Wii ones. Can't wait to jump back in!
