When I recently found out about Hardware: Shipbreakers, I was ecstatic to hear that much of Hardware‘s Blackbird Interactive team were the same developers who were apart of Relic Entertainment, the Studio that gave us Homeworld.
One such member–Dan Irish, the producer of the critically acclaimed Myst series and Homeworld 2–agreed to an interview with DualShockers to give us a hint of what Hardware has coming, why he’s excited about the game, and a look at the concept art Hardware is being designed around.
With the recent announcement of Homeworld 3, we’re seeing the ultimate culmination of an effort to revive a franchise. Gearbox now seemed fully committed to the effort, but will it be enough?
Depends if there are any MT's forced in and considering the publisher I think that's a sure fire guarantee.
Gearbox and Blackbird Interactive are producing an addition in the Homeworld franchise called Shipbreakers.
Homeworld: Shipbreakers is officially no longer going to be free-to-play, as Gearbox Software announces the brand new title in the Homeworld franchise can be a "proper, commerical release" thanks to the studio's investment.
