Yea he makes good points, the gaming industry has gotten WAY more open with sex and nudity than they were in the early 2000's. I don't see it being a problem at all unless they showed legitimate intercourse. Still not a problem for most, but it would create a media outrage. But for basic sex like Witcher 2 and Heavy Rain (Mass Effect is strictly to get a rise from teen boys, sorry), it just fits GTA if they bring back dating. The main question now is if they will make it interactive, most games don't as it sort of increases the maturity and risk.

DeadManMcCarthy4397d ago

It would be stupid if they did so, it would only complicate game ratings e.g ESRB and risk the game getting toned down or banned entirely in overly sensitive countries. The hot coffee mod was stupid anyway, if you want to watch porn then it's right there on the internet, no need to put it in the game for the sake of controversy.

GTA V will have more controversial things in it, people should expect it by now. There's plenty of other things Rockstar could spend there time improving than some silly sex mini game.

It's a total and utter waste of time and game space.

"Undoubtedly, Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA V) will be the biggest video game that gets released this year"

You mean biggest as in (Large) open world big? I don't think it will be the best game of the year

BiggCMan4397d ago

He means biggest as in, most talked about, has the most controversy, perhaps the most sold, perhaps the highest rated etc.. biggest can be a flexible term here. And it will be no doubt, every GTA game is this way whether they are good games or bad games.

He never said best, but it sure as hell will be!

‘GTA V Gets Pulled from PS Plus as PC Players Continue to Favor Legacy Over Enhanced’

That’s an awful clickbait title. The use of the word ‘as’ means the first statement is the result of the second, when in reality they’re not connected.

Profchaos3d ago

Also the same for red dead redemption 2 and GTA trilogy (albeit they split that into individual games)

Tacoboto3d ago

It just got put back on Game Pass recently too.

GTA V is the pass-around sub title, and it probably doesn't even matter because everyone owns a copy or even two by now.

Trash article and trash website.

Doesn't even mention WHEN it's leaving.

Noticed my copy of gta5 on Steam was already upgraded without me doing anything. How can you still play the legacy version?

Shiore2u2d ago

There should be a second listing right under it in your library.

Is there anything wrong with the enhanced version if you’re just playing single player?

My problem with the game is they want to install a Kernel level driver before I can even boot the game in sngle player mode I don't care about GTA online

I flat out refuse to allow any game kernal level it's a huge risk I don't need to take

It's not the only game that has done this. Ut it's absolutely shutting the dorr completely on PC gaming for me kernal level drivers are ineffective at preventing cheaters but publishers insist on continued use

My big issue is how long it takes to transition between open world and interiors in Online.
Sometimes it can take over a minute of just starring at a black screen.

Let it sleep already R*. VI is coming and this game has had 12 years in the spotlight.

It looks great, got everything running on ultra, have long shadows set to max and it's running silky smooth.

The ray tracing and lighting makes the game look amazing.

CrimsonIdol50d ago

The reflections are a noisy mess, particularly with DLSS. Shame they didn't have ray reconstruction, seems to work wonders for cyberpunk

MrDead50d ago

The reflections are like a mirror, I have no noise at all. Are you sure you have it set correctly?

CrimsonIdol50d ago

I've everything maxed out. the reflections DO have a lot of noise in them in motion. When you stop for a second to look at them they look okay but when you're driving around there's a definite blur and sparkle to them that you often get from RT. Again, exactly the same as you get in Cyberpunk without ray reconstruction but is much reduced with.

MrDead50d ago

I really don't have that, what you see here is what I have in motion even online vids have it completely clear. I'm running of a 5090 with everything set to the highest.

https://m.youtube.com/watch...

CrimsonIdol49d ago

Ah I see. Well if you have a 5090 then I'm guessing are you're probably getting quite a high frame rate (I'm guessing hitting that 120 fps max), which will make a difference too, since the RT samples in the reflections accumulate temporally. I'm on a 3080 so I'm keeping my frame rate around 60-75 at 4K, and the low sample/high noise of the RT is definitely apparent… particularly on moving cars at night time I've noticed the most (makes sense given highest contrast between light and dark) DLSS amplifies the noise too, it's the big thing that sticks out as low fidelity when the rest resolves nicely

CrimsonIdol49d ago (Edited 49d ago )

Just had a chance to watch this on my 4K monitor now. Do you not see the blurriness of the reflections in relation to everything else in motion? Like it's definitely better and less noisy than it is for me at 60fps with quality DLSS but it's still pretty bad compared to how crisp the screen space/cubemap ones were when driving about. fine when you stop for a second but driving around you're rarely stopped so it's near constant muddy reflections.
