Next generation is looming and established games must adapt or die. Call of Duty will attempt to survive the shift. Can it keep up?
Something is rotten in the state of online gaming. It's not the servers, it's not the games themselves, but it might be some of the players. A newcomer to Apixelatedview writes an open letter to the detrimental and hateful gamers out there.
This week on the Writers Ramble we discuss videogame reviews and whether or not indie games should be rated differently.
a game with EASy violence, lack of imagination like GTA, Killzone, Forza, The Last of Us, Grand Turismo, Watchdogs, Assassins Creed, the Uncharteds etc etc should never deserve even a 9 due to lack of INNOVATION, CREATIVITY.
it dsnt make sense for easy to imagine games to get the same scores as the ingenuity bringers changers of the industry.
for only the games that do BRING the NEW, the game-Changing, the IMAGINATION, the TALENT, like the Raymans, The Last Guardian, the Mario's, The Bayonetta's, The Jack and Dextors, The Zeldas, the Banjo Kazooie etc etc .. only these types of games deserve the 10's, the 9's if they are well made < fact . .
this truth will hurt many fanpies

The next Call of Duty game will be the tenth iteration of a COD game in the last 10 years. On October 29, 2003 Infinity Ward (Published by Activision) unleashed the first Call of Duty game to the world. This November with a little more than 10 years since the first launch of a COD title, Infinity Ward will probably launch Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. I think it’s time for a break.
Need? No. But want? Well, considering the sales each Call of Duty game boasts these days, the majority do want it.
I enjoy them, but I'm in the minority in the sense that I don't feel any want for a new one.
Ugh, Call of Duty. :(
We don't really need one - we haven't needed one for the last three years - or since Infinity Ward broke. We're getting another one all the same though - like it or not.
I'm hoping you get to ride a seahorse in the next one.
Seahorses are vicious war machines.
no
If they don't start making the game better it will start dying off. It's already happening.
Was a longtime COD player but it got boring. Hopefully they do some work on it for the new hardware.
I took a break from BF3 and started playing COD2BO but after playing 5 months its become boring to me and i went right back to BF3.
Even with the new engine, I sure infinity ward/sledgehammer will screw it up, but I'm cautiously optimistic for what Treyarch has in store.
