Canadian PS3 and Wii Pre-Orders are Today

Today, Monday October 16, Canadians living in Canada will be able to walk into their local EB Games and put money down on either a PS3 or a Wii. This news was revealed just days after the U.S. held their PS3 pre-ordering campaign which ended that very day. Canada will be no exception, because due to the shortage, its on an average that each EB Games will only get 4 PS3's. PS3 pre-orders will go for $200 CDN. The Wii however will also be able to pre-order and because there are no shortages of them, whoever walks in and places a pre-order of $50 CDN down, are likely to get a Wii on November 19. The States will also have Wii pre-orders happening today, so I guess we just wait and see who gets one and who doesn't. Let the full pre-orders commence.

Got mine. Unfortunately no one was there for a while to p/o the Wii, which had tonnes available. On my way out though a lady came in for one for her kid, and one obnoxious guy came in almost specifically to make everyone else in the store know he wasn't interested in paying that much for the PS3. So he ordered his own Wii. Man, he was defensive.

Demand is high as the US sold out of presales in some cases less than 10 minutes.
I paid the deposit on 3 premium bundles and carefully watching Ebay much like everyone else! Hopefully Sony doesn't suffer 1st gen issues like the Xbox 360 burning up.

Thats the last time i let my brother go get me a system. 1st off he slept thru the alarm, so he didnt get down there till 9, it opens at 930. And by the time he got there, there were about 30 ppl in the line waiting for 8 consoles. So he went to another EB just a couple blocks down from the one in the mall, and they were sold out by the time they got there, and they had 15. So I wont be getting a PS3 till March, unless I camp outside Best Buy for about 3 days. But I thought I was the only crazy canadian in my town that would have paid 660 for a system, i guess not seeing is how there are at least 60ppl in my town that want one and thats just on day 1. Thats not including after, so I see a PS3 sellout for a couple yrs right now. IM PISSED.

Shaolin Monks is a forgotten gem. I would love to see a new one, or a remake of the old.

That game was actually goated. It was the first time ever that I actually tried to get good at a fighting game. Unfortunately the online connection was so dogshit it made it hard to enjoy and eventually I gave up. Haven't really played much fighting games since.

The Industry Needs To Modernize These 6 Fantastic Classics

The Simpsons: Hit and Run, The Legend of Dragoon, and Chrono Trigger would benefit substantially from a modern remake.

Knightofelemia1d 3h ago (Edited 1d 3h ago )

The Xenosaga trilogy, the Wild Arms games, Xenogears, Parasite Eve, Dino Crisis, Suikoden. The Warriors game I know nothing about but it looks interesting. Anybody can do a list of games they want to see get modernized I would lose my shit if Namco brought the Xenosaga trilogy to modern consoles.
