Hands On With The Successful Kickstarter Indie Game, Delver's Drop

Super PolyPixel - While at PAX East I spent a lot of time around the Indie Megabooth. The lines were much shorter and the games, much more interesting. While there a friend of mine pointed out Delver’s Drop which he personally helped Kickstart. This was the first I was hearing of it and after being told all about it and getting some hands on I can’t wait for it. It seems like a really great little game, except it’s not so little. After a $150k Kickstarter and Almost 3 Years, Delver's Drop Continues Development

Serena Nelson writes: "For those who don't know what Delver's Drop is, it's a top-down action RPG game with a look reminiscent of the early Legend of Zelda games where you play as one of a number of prisoners in a mountain dungeon trying to escape to freedom. Unlike most dungeon divers this one has you start at the top and work your way to the very bottom to see the light of day. At least that's what the pitch told me.

Will the addition of another PAX event overburden exhibitors to the point of them backing out of certain conventions and hurting attendee numbers? I don't think so.

Some of those games look pretty good. It gives me a few more reasons to get a Wii U.

I'm sure most of the 120 games aren't that good though. Still a good move.
