In Hardcore Gamer's interview, Ted goes into great detail about practically every aspect of the game, helping illuminate exactly how the mechanics work and what to expect from co-op. Additonally, characters are explained, what role the story plays is discussed and some of the false assumptions about the game are cleared up. With its release coming up in just two months, it’s time to get educated on the “sleeper hit of 2013″ straight from the source.
Insomniac's Ted Price talks about the ballooning game development costs, and how it was a studio decision to focus on single-player games.
I'll be that guy. Their writing needs work cause the story in both Spiderman games were pretty bad. I'm all for more SP games, I prefer em, but man is writing in games in general just gawd awful.
Where are the days where we could have both a really good story and a really fun multiplayer without sacrificing one of the two.. It doesn’t have to be a live service title to be multiplayer. I understand there’s a lot of work that goes into keeping up with it, but still.
Ted Price, soon-to-be-retired CEO and founder of Insomniac Games talks about the most stressful time he had at the studio.
I can see where he's coming from. After working with someone for so long, building up a report and all... going out and having to work with others they had no experience with can be stressful. They made it through, and did a few different games in the process. One of which was a partial inspiration for how they would approach Spider-Man later on. And it's one that doesn't get enough recognition for how balls to the wall fun it is.
EA really killed their best idea. They went from a snazzy looking coop shooter to another gritty slopfest like Fracture or Brink.
Today, Insomniac Games CEO Ted Price announced his retirement plans. Now, meet the three new co-studio heads of Insomniac Games in this introductory blog post
Ted is one of the most underrated studio heads ever. Insomniac games has been one of the best and most welcoming studios in the industry. Best of luck Ted you were great running this studio
Three decades is plenty enough. Congrats and enjoy your retirement! Have fun, write a book, travel and see the world... or do nothing at all! You earned it!
Thanks Ted Price . I first enjoyed, very much playing DISRUPTOR on PlayStation in 1996.
Look Forward to playing this Game on day one.
