Worms coming to PS Vita 'later this year,' says Team17

The long-running Worms franchise will be available on PlayStation Vita in 2013 as "the ultimate handheld console version" of a Worms game, said developer Team17 in an interview with Red Bull UK.

Worms has declined in quality since Worms World Party, All the new ones are absolubtely terrible. It seems over the years they like to decrease the features. I used to be the biggest worms fan.

Give your head a shake. I've said it before and I'll say it again, as long as the ports are well done, how is more games ever a bad thing? You don't like em, don't buy em.

It's like arguing that a game is no good if it's been released on another console. "Oh. You want to play Bioshock on your Mac? Well, it was already released on PC's and consoles, so it's no fun to play any more."

I am blaming them but announcement of ports are better then nothing. You also need to know that sometimes ports are better then exclusives. Like a GT6 port would be much better then exclusive GT for the vita.

Note: I think Vita will get the same treatment of console from now on. Multiplatforms will release ports to it and use the features in vita to connect it with the console version. Like playing against console players. Or continue playing after you go out. That would be a great feature for a game like tekken/GT/GTA..etc

Awesome ... I love Worms.
Playing it on Vita makes it even better ... as long as it has online play.

I have a side question tho ...
How many of you still think the N64 version is still the best?
I just liked how you could select any worm on your team on your turn ...
Why did they take that out???
