Acquire teases PS Vita reveal, looks like The Last Guy follow-up

"The Last Guy could be getting a spin-off, sequel or new PS Vita build, following a tease from developer Acquire."

Hope not. But it prolly is.

want another Tenchu or Shinobido.

This would be awesome, the last guy was underrated and HIGHLY addictive....but friggin hard at times!

And it would be perfect for Vita as long as you can zoom in and out really fast on the fly.

I felt like I was the only who liked the last guy it was really fun

I think a lot of people didn't experience the game because it came out relatively early in the PS3's life cycle, and there wasn't really a huge install base at that time. When it came out, it was one of the best PSN games of the time, and still holds up well.

EDIT: I checked the date, and it came out 1 and a half years after PS3's launch, so yeah, there wasn't the huge install base there is now. Those were good times... when online didn't have any 12 year old kids because the price was high enough to keep them away.

The problem is The Last Guy wasn't developed by Acquire in the first place, it was made internally at Sony Japan Studios.

It can't be Tenchu cause the company lost the rights to the franchise which is why they created Shinobido to compensate. They have usually made ninja games & at times the 'What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord?' series.

So i am not sure what this tease may be but it could be another new series like they did with Sumioni. Unless Sony is outsourcing the Last Guy for Acquire to make...

Yeah, but if it is the last guy....how can they screw it up:D lol

So hopefully it is the last guy.

Google maps + OLED + zombies = awesome:)

Actually it would be amazing to integrate GOOGLE maps some how and rescue the people from zombies in every day cities or your neighbourhood...although somehow I doubt it would work a lot of the times:P

I would kill to have a Way of the Samurai game with a huge budget and modern tech... The first game was one of my greatest joys on PS2 back in the day. And I really hope From Software will do something with Tenchu... I hate that they're just sitting on the IP like it doesn't even exist.

Relientk77427d ago

Don't play with my feelings like that.

Also, new Tenchu please!

TheColbertinator427d ago

Tenchu would be superb in this day and age. Ninja and samurai games are hot right now and more is better.

Well that's it then I guess. Nobody else can buy any other studios.

Now Tenchu and Shinobido are under the same garage roof, to hopefully be unearthed eventually and enjoyed again by the current generation.

Will they last longer then a year like when Google bought up three game studios and shut them down within a year of purchase.
