Monster 4x4 World Circuit Preview

Monster 4X4 World Circuit is Ubisoft's latest arcade racer where players control big-wheeled trucks on stunt tracks located throughout the world. But it's on Wii, which makes it a whole lot more interesting.

The game is controlled using the Wii Remote and Ubisoft's makeshift steering wheel -- a black plastic circular contraption that houses the Remote so that players can turn their onscreen vehicle as if they are driving a virtual car. While it sounds a little far-fetched, the controller option for the most part feels natural. It may take some time getting used to the sensitivity (and the whole it being a steering wheel floating in midair thing), but it certainly gives you a feel of what the Wii's motion sensing technology is capable of...

Will There Ever Be A New Rayman Game?

Ubisoft barely have a leg to stand on lately, so do they need to crack open the vaults and return platforming royalty to glory for some goodwill?

We need Rayman 4, they could make a great platformer game if they wanted. With the open hub levels and the like.

Better than relying on Rabbids and Assassins Creed all the time

Profchaos22h ago

Yeah agree id love a Rayman 2 style 3d platform game over another 2d platformer I know people loved legends but it never gelled with me same as Rayman 1 back in the day on PS it just felt like a average platformer with sonic and Mario offering something better on what was then last gen hardware

Terry_B1d 12h ago

Yes..but I am sure it won't be the Rayman game fans want. Not from the company that is Ubisoft today.

Ancel is retired from games. His hoodlum/rabbid team are doing their own thing. It would not be the same if Ubisoft did.

Profchaos22h ago

Probably far more profitable to make low effort Rabbids games aimed at kids over a next Rayman

Chocoburger1d 5h ago

Experience points, skill trees to fill up, level gating, endless menial tasks and side quests, constantly scrounging for resources. Always having to upgrade your gear. A.KA. "The Ubisoft effect".

No thanks, don't ruin Rayman's legacy.

Sure there will be it'll launch right alongside the next splinter cell

Bully: Scholarship Edition - Desperately in Need of a Sequel

Bully: Scholarship Edition was an Xbox 360 & Wii re-release of the PS2 classic. Still playable on modern consoles, it'll make you long for a sequel.

TheBrainZ2d ago

A sequel? More likely a remake as is the current trend? No point, everyone wants GTA VI.

It's a shame that basically all of Rockstar's catalogue apart from GTA and Red Dead is now, well, dead.

Redgrave2d ago

The R☆ of today is extremely unlikely to put out any project that isn't GTA because of the gaming climate and because GTA is stupidly self sustaining.

Gone are the days of a mainline title and a portable tie-in/standalone title of the same name just like publishers putting out multiple fighters at once.

Costs are too high and mainline titles have become too gargantuan to allow for "risks" on lesser titles that may not take off or sell.

Take Capcom for example, and SF6. We are unlikely to ever see a new installment of their other fighters like Rival School or Darkstalkers because SF6 is more popular, recognized and costly. A new Darkstalkers in the RE Engine would look sick as f*ck, and would visually be unlike any other fighter if done right. Sadly though, it's not as recognizable as SF and Capcom is unlikely to put so much on the line for something that might not catch.

If there’s to be a sequel it should be at the college/university level. Otherwise its just going to be a rehash of the same progression and story.
