Color us unsurprised when, two days after PlayStation 3 pre-orders started (and quickly stopped upon sell-out) Wii pre-orders will begin. Coincidentally, it's the same separation of days between the launch of both machines in November.
After receiving mixed opinions yesterday when calling 50 GameStop/EB Games locations across America, we can now confirm via calls to several stores in the Florida area that Wii pre-orders will be accepted tomorrow at all of the chain's retail stores.
Much like the PS3 pre-order campaign, the systems will be available for reserve on a first-come, first-served basis. Unlike the PS3, which required a $100 deposit, the stores are only asking $50 for Wii.
With the apparently massive amounts of Wii units -- at least one million -- promised by Nintendo for the North American launch, who's seriously planning to camp out and pre-order?
The new unit comprises over 500 developers representing the entire World of Warcraft development team.
I used to be anti-union, it kills productivity, investment and turns product mediocre. Their games suck anyways though so what was lost? Might as well get their people paid until they are dissolved.
The Simpsons: Hit and Run, The Legend of Dragoon, and Chrono Trigger would benefit substantially from a modern remake.
The Xenosaga trilogy, the Wild Arms games, Xenogears, Parasite Eve, Dino Crisis, Suikoden. The Warriors game I know nothing about but it looks interesting. Anybody can do a list of games they want to see get modernized I would lose my shit if Namco brought the Xenosaga trilogy to modern consoles.
Modders have cooked up something pretty special – a Wii console which is small enough to fit on your keys. A wee Wii.
This is true I was told by manager the very same thing.
I've been waiting to have the chance to make sure I get a Wii at launch. Sweetness.
