EA has removed SimCity from the Indian Origin Store after users outside India found a technical loophole that allowed them to purchase the game at a significantly lower price.
EA just hosted its quarterly financial conference call, and its executives have been asked to comment about the recent price hikes for games.
Today, Electronic Arts announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2025, alongside the full year.
Split Fiction has sold nearly 4 million copies, and the next battlefield is confirmed for a release by March 2026 with a reveal this Summer.
In addition to the roughly 100 job cuts IGN reported earlier today at Respawn Entertainment, EA has made wider cuts across its organization today, impacting around 300 individuals total including those already reported at Respawn.
Absolutely insane. Man I'm hope they land on their feet EA needs to get the shit together badly....
This is why this industry has slow releases and none compelling games.
Why would anyone willingly work in the VG industry or specifically for one of these globocorp organizations that put you in constant fear of losing your livelihood based on terrible choices made by idiotic management, not the people with talent making the actual games?
Something screws customers = no refunds.
Something screws EA = Protect ourselves!
This thing is overpriced by 80% even on the Indian Store. EA games which are supposed to cost only 999 are now 1799. Other games such as Tomb Raider, Far Cry 3, Hitman etc. are all 999.
Come on guys. EA's executive compensation last year was only 39.7 million dollars. That's barely monthly mansion money...

It's mind boggling to me how people still don't understand the principle of spending money and especially NOT spending money. One look on Sim City's Wikipedia page also reveals that one of the core designers of Sim City was one of the core designers of Diablo 3 xD
Sim City is a prime example of why the underground cracking scene is a necessary evil.
Anyway - learn to not finance companies that screw up this bad and then take it out on their customers.
It always amazes me that that ANYTHING EA touches goes to hell.. Very entertaining!
