I guess the reviewer didn't give full score because of this scene. God I still cringe when I watch it.

That aside, the DLC's main plot premise is good enough to be implemented to a full game. But since this is Bioware, they decided to make it a 15 dollar useless DLC that's cluttered with horrible BSN fanfic grade writing...

O.o

It amazes me someone thought that was a good idea...

Well, if you didn't romance Tali Shepard kind of pokes fun at how corny this movie that they are watching is. It's supposed to be tongue in cheek.

What the hell did I jus watch?? yea, that was lame as hell. <sigh>

The concept I think is pretty cool tho, but something like this should have already been in the game originaly. I wouldn't be surprised if it was, but they had to remove it for "time constraints". EA at its best... Milking money, and taking out features, and implementing em into a later game or DLC as if it were something new.

Don't even get me started on them doing that with their sports games... jeez

"but since this is *EA" you mean.

Bioware aren't publishers.

Blacktric4059d ago (Edited 4059d ago )

EA owns Bioware and they are a shadow of what they were ever since they got bought.

What are you talking about? Bioware released two of their best games under EA's watch. Mass Effect 2 and the first Dragon Age. These were both released well after EA's buyout. I remember a conversation I had with one of the Bioware guys back in the day when he told me that Bioware was pushing for digital distribution of their DLC but were having a hard time convincing EA who were still convinced that hard copies of the expansion packs were the only way to go.

I hear that parroted over and over. "Look what EA did to Bioware" but the evidence certainly doesn't support some sort of instant decline. Even with the internet hate with ME3's ending, the game sold damn near on par with ME2 and received critical acclaim and numerous game of the year nominations and awards.

If EA's involvement results in being hugely successful and critically praised and you think this is bad somehow, I don't know what to tell you. And this is coming from a fan who was in Edmonton for an early Baldur's Gate launch some 15 years ago. Bioware is it's own master. From my conversations with Bioware guys over the years, I was left with the distinct impression that EA is very hands off with Bioware when it comes to overall development choices.

Ouch, that is actually really painful to watch. I did cringe a few other times too, however i think it was a pretty heartwarming DLC overall. It's a lighthearted story and i think Bioware wrote it so intentionally for the most part.

Some of the scenes are a bit awkward though. Especially the first half of the party.

I can't believe they'd charge for this. I mean it looks good (save for one small moment), but a final send off for all the loyal fans...and they're gonna charge us?

Loved this dlc, cheesy as hell, but the final moments did tear me up a bit. This dlc had some.of the funniest scenes throughout the series and while its odd that it kind of ignores the war (They have a reason for it which makes sense but still makes it weird) I think its better for it. If it focused on the war people would say what was the point if it didn't change the ending, and reminded me of ME1 and ME2 when things were a bit more simple.

I'll say this is the best dlc of the series by far (better than LotSB). Is it fitting as the final moments of the series? Eh, idk, the final moment was definitely a touching sendoff but can't help feeling depressed these characters I've been attached to for 5 1/2 yrs are officially gone for good.

He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
