Halo: Recut competition launches for Europe and SA

Microsoft and Bungie Studios have teamed up to launch the Halo: Recut competition across Europe and South Africa. The competition is "looking for fans to help create and show the unseen adventures of Master Chief." The winner will walk away with a trip to Los Angeles to study at the New York Film Academy for one month.

The competition is looking for Halo fans to make an original video of Master Chief out of the Halo universe and "remixed into different scenarios." You can do this by using a traditional video camera, gaming footage, old school animation or video editing software, as long as you push your creativity to the max. Microsoft's suggestions include a Master Chief's 'Meet the Parents' or break dancing to MC Hammer.

To enter the competition, head over to and upload your video by the 21st of March. A panel of experts from the gaming industry will sift out the most creative concepts and one winner from each country will win an Xbox 360 and a copy of Halo 3.
