Neither did Assassin's Creed 3.
Or Assassin's Creed Revelations.
Or Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.
Or Assassin's Creed 2.
Or Assassin's Creed.
Or Red Dead Redemption.
Or Skyrim.
Or Grand Theft Auto III.
Or Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

I can't think of a single open-world game that has had loading times.

Er, the Assassin's Creed games before DID have loads. When you crossed between regions the game would have to stop and load the next region.

Not sure about the other games, but I know for certain that ACII and III both had loads between the cities and what not.

All thoes games have load times.
Even Zelda loaded between areas but the areas were under 1MB so you never notice it.
I noticed it when I played it with 500mb Hi-Rez mod, my pc takes 1.5secs to load between areas without mod it's instant.

I think your memory is failing you. lol

All AC games have had loading screens.

Skyrim loads every time you enter or exit somebody's house, for god's sake.

A couple of the others you mentioned aren't fresh enough in my mind to say for sure either way.

Not a single N64 game, or any game that was a Cartridge, had loading times, they would have fade in fade out to other areas but they were practically instant.

LAWSON722054d ago

Did you play skyrim that game loaded all the time. Maybe the pc version on ssd seemed like no loads since it takes like 2 sec to load.

Dude...

1) ALL AC games have had loading.

2) Skyrim loads every single time you enter any building, city, cave, dungeon, etc. Tons of loading in that game.

3) Every 3D GTA other than San Andreas and GTA IV have had loading. Anytime you travel to a new island there is a loading screen.

4) EVERY Zelda game has loading screens. Those fade ins/outs are still loading screens, they're just masked to not look like one.
