For a developer to completely change the foundations of a fan favourite gaming franchise is a task that should never be taken lightly, with fears that it might swiftly bite them in their metaphorical arses. That being said, Konami are clearly happy to give the middle finger to my previous notion, taking the Metal Gear name, previously known for its reconnaissance and stealth gameplay and opting for a game filled with ferocious sword play and well, lack of any kind of stealth. Change can often be seen as a bad thing, and while in recent memory that could easily be thought of as fact, when it comes to Platinum Game’s Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, change is mostly a good thing.
Before your elbows turn to dust, let’s take a look at some PlayStation 3 games that have stood the test of time the best.
no beyond 2 souls or heavy rain god of war 3 uncharted 2 3 should got a mentioned
Whoever prepared this. Thanks for writing something meaningful for a change instead of the clickbait crap others do.
Ridge Racer 6 on the Xbox 360 played a lot better than Ridge Racer 7 on the PlayStation 3, which included Ridge Racer 6 tracks. Ridge Racer 6 was the last quality game in the series.
Replaying kz2, kz3, r1, r2, r3, kens rage 1 & 2, 3d dot game heroes etc. and they all aged beautifully. Also, playing these games in the hardest difficulty reminded me of how hard games were on the PS3. How I had such a love & hate relationship with these games.
"Firstly, we owe all our Japanese fans of MGR: Revengeance a big apology for that," said Jiro Oishi, Metal Gear series producer.
Wish they'd do a current gen console release of this. Hopefully on MGS Master Collection Vol. 2!
If you consider yourself a sucker for games with good combat systems, these curated recommendations are just for you.
This review was just mehh. I'm sure he was joking when he said he didn't know if raiden was a female. In the opening paragraph he talks about the game hardly having stealth then goes on to say you have 2 options to approach combat. The other problem is his inability to grasp the defense system. Its not such a big deal that the game doesn't have a block button its designed that way to force you to think.
I agree that the camera in this game can be downright horrible. There was barely a mention of the games story, or the length of the game, or the replayability, or the vr missions. Over all the review was just OK.
