A depressing ending can leave a far more pronounced, lasting effect on the viewer if done right; of course, some games are going to just indulge in downright misery porn (we’re looking at you, Silent Hill), but if developers pitch the emotion just right, they’ll have a game that we can’t imagine ending any other way. To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.
30 is way too low over the entire history of Playstation, I just wouldn't be able to narrow it down that much, I would pick 100 at least.
Yeah...really odd list. I get that it is personal preference and I love most of the games listed, but my list would definitely be different. I agree though, it would be incredibly difficult to come up with just 30.

Persona 3 had the happiest and yet also the saddest ending of all time. They even let u play the ending for an additional 30 hours if u get the FES version on psn.
Can't agree with a couple of the games on this list. I felt nothing at GTA4's ending, and HL2's cliffhanger wasn't as depressing as the silence that followed.
Plus, how in hell is The Walking Dead and especially Spec Ops The Line not on here?
