The initial stock is 10k, they are making more and also EVGA and Asus are making them.

People saying an oced card is faster are wrong. They didn't include that the Gtx titan will be the overclocking King of Gpus. Equipped with an improved 690 cooler and new overclocking software that can overvolt it we will see the gtx titan pushed to limits we can't even dream of on current gpus.

True that, the new GPU Boost 2.0 tech for Titan allows manual overclock/overvolt hence better overclocking by enthusiasts.

As i said, the Titan is a treat for enthusiasts and PC gamers. :)

If I remember, although vaguely, this GTX Titan was supposed to originally be the GTX 680, but absence of competitive product from AMD's side, nVidia was forced to relabel the then weaker chip (the to-be GTX 660 I believe) to the 680.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I believe I read it somewhere way before the GTX 680 was to be released.

Until you get into modding, high resolution texture packs combined with effects like motion blur, SSAO and soft shadows can cause problems, depending on the engine of course.

Bet 2 of these and a 3930k @ 5ghz could run a game smoothly with CGI quality.

This is the only single gpu card that will be able to max crysis 3 :P that pushes hardware.

You do realise that until 5970 arrived a single card couldn't genuinely do 1080/60FPS maxed on the original Crysis/Warhead that launched some 2 years prior?

The 5970 can't even do that with any AA either.

You still need a frickin 6990 or better to do 1920 x 1080 Enthusiast + 4x AA on the likes of Warhead and maintain 60FPS+ average.

On this basis Titan aint doing too bad in Crysis 3, besides the fact it is a single GPU card as well and not a dual GPU...
