mind boggling to say the least, my respect for Randy Pitchford has plummeted after he sat through those demo viewings and basically lied to everyone knowing good well this retail version was going to be the actual Aliens game we see today.

There was a thread on the gearbox forums detailing his and other staffers inflated claims for bl2. Not the first time

Gearbox better get their sh!t together after this disappointment DNF result was understandable but this as well?

Did the same thing for brothers in arms hells highway, and the same for many other games, I love borderlands I must admit but this FALSE advertising in their other games is beyond disgusting.

e-p-ayeaH4241d ago

hells highway delivered in my opinion.

Justinakach0ppa4241d ago

Hells highway was a good game, my point is however comparing to the initial demos the final game was, at least graphically, inferior.

The first video in this article really does it for me. I haven't yet got my copy of the game (it's still in the post), and so this was the first I'd seen of ACTUAL gameplay. To see it compared with the demo is physically painful.

Up until now, I was holding out hope, thinking that it would "still be an Aliens game", so even if it was glitchy and badly-written, it would still "feel" right. But the game looks terrible compared to what I was expecting!

Ask Randy in 5 years "what was one of the worst mistakes you've made during your time in the gaming industry?" I bet it would be releasing Aliens:CM in this condition. It hasn't even been out for a week and it's being picked apart.

Roundtable: Games That Should Have Received a Sequel

Too many games aren't given a second shot. We at VGU choose which games we would love to see receive a sequel.

The Saboteur - criminally underrated and a fantastic mechanic of bringing colour back to Nazi-occupied Paris.

The article lists Bulletstorm, Sleeping Dogs, and Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Can't argue with any of those really, but I would add Resident Evil Operation Racoon City and Metal Gear Survive to that list. Both terrible games from good franchises.

Bulletstorm, I actually liked the gameplay but the atrocious writing and characters made me despise the game by the end of it.

I still play AvP on PS3 to this day. That game had fun multiplayer too.
