When Gabe Newell sits down to talk about something, you can pretty much guarantee that it will be both interesting and insightful. This was the case with the keynote talk he did today for the D.I.C.E. 2013 event in Last Vegas. The Valve boss touched upon a number of topics such as the company’s upcoming Steam box, the problems with cloud gaming, and the company’s historical models on how to design single and multiplayer games.
A seated Presentation how normal for this person.
ehh i don't see it. ima stick with sony's console for the exclusives. but i will eventually buy a new pc to play strategy stuff like dota 2 if my current backlog ever runs dry.
if they went with their middle option they would have to have relatively equal game offerings. for example with GTA V only launching for consoles in 2013. their "console" would have to make this list for me to consider it as an alternate console. and then they'd also have to sprinkle in a few exclusives of their own and have their own awesome 1st party controller design that brings something to the table.
the more competition the better, but i can't see this selling more than a sony or ms console unless they're going to fund studios for a ton of exclusives.
New Left 4 Dead and HL3 please, will be upgrading my GPU as soon as Source 2 is announced XD. Gotta have them 60fps at 1080p!
Hahaha valve games just don't feel like valve games at under 100fps. I love them
Can't wait for Steambox! Sony & MS take backseat this Gen.
