As someone who loves classic style RPG’s I was very excited to start playing Shadow of the Game.
Using standard WASD movements and Spacebar to interact with objects and NPC’s, the controls are simple and easy to use.
SOTG is considered to be a game within a game. Inside of SOTG, there is a game, created by a company called Gizzard. If you hadn’t guessed the game is an MMORPG. Get it? Blizzard.. Gizzard.. MMO? Anyway, this may seem confusing, but I’m doing my best to explain.
Shadow of the Game, an RPG inside of an RPG by DeRail Games, has officially been released on Gamersgate with other digital distribution platforms to follow tomorrow. With a humorous and engaging story, not to mention a price tag of only $4.99, Shadow of the Game is definitely worth a look.
DSOGaming writes: "After two years of development, the experimental RPG Shadow of the Game is finally released! Shadow of the Game - which resembles a visual novel - is now available on a broad variety of distribution channels and is described as a lengthy multiple award-winning roleplaying title with a strong focus on interactive storytelling."
DeRail Games has revealed that their title Shadow of the Game has made it through the Desura review process today. The game is now available for pre-order on PC for $4.99 with an anticipated release on December 7th, 2012. The game is also available for pre-order through GamersGate, and they are hoping for a Steam release if the game is Greenlit. In addition to this there is a demo available for the game through Desura.
