but I want it to be an action game :( great interview thanks guys

How can you want it to be an action game? Dead Space should be all about the horror.

Dead Space 2 was an action game, so I doubt very much they went back to the Dead Space 1 formula.

To a degree, but a lot of DS2 was in fact horror. You weren't as alone compared to DS1 but it was still scary. Seeing how DS3 includes co-op I hope they can still keep that horror feeling alive.

Merrill4520d ago

I couldn't stand the amount run and gunning you had to do in DS2. It wasn't the game I wanted it to be, I will not buy part 3(unintentional rhyming).

NO... Dead space 2 was a combination of a Action, horror and a psychological thriller.

Only the first dead space was Horror.

Hm, his reasoning is pretty good. I mean I wouldn't want to watch a video of Isaac wandering through hallways and frozen tundra for three minutes and nothing happening. Of course they're going to try and stick a whole bunch of action in there to show off the game's combat and creatures. Still looking forward to the game.

Funny as, in when DS first lauched, it received a lot of praises for being everything that, disappointingly, RE 5 was not: tense, atmospheric, scary. Now, with DS3 just around the corner, they sound like crapcom defending RE6!

Well i think the new dmc is far more better then devil may cry 4 and 3... the story was soo good and go F youselfs ho hat....... oooooooooh so people stooped hating or crying about the new dmc already??? my bad...

Anyways half way through Dead Space 3 playing solo the game is JUST like dead space 2 with improved gameplay and environment, the story and horror elements are defifately present the scope is much much more wider and the most blessful thing is that you wont even know that DS3 supports co-op.. the single player campaign very well crafted not even hinting that this game is co-op... and please people dont say that how i got the early copy.. BDW Little Spoiler, First half of the game is mostly not in the snowy planet but on the ship you will reach the snowy planet after 10 or some chapters .. ENJOYSSS

I would rate it 8/10, 2 deducted because its more of an expansion pack then a whole new game i belive... still very fun

Root4520d ago

....do you work for EA

That sounds like PR stuff

phantomexe4520d ago

Come on Root.....you guys asked me that same crap the other day. Give it a rest already. Wait for the review if your so hell bent on not likeing it.

Root4520d ago

.....i have never said anything like that to you

Anyway dont tell me what I cant and can say

TekoIie4520d ago (Edited 4520d ago )

You so got disagreed with for the DMC part :3

But in some ways I enjoyed the demo. Me and a friend hopped on and something about those scripted scenes felt good. As though you were trying to help your friend get through those situations with you and it was a good direction IMO.

The new weapon building system is good even if I feel the inclusion of GUN's is maybe taking it too far. I feel as though Isaac should have had exclusive access to engineer tools and Carver have exclusive access to military weaponry. Either way though I enjoyed making a unique weapon!

Only thing that really bugged me was the Necromorph... with a gun. Sorry but that is not needed. I'm cool with humans trying to kill me with guns but when you try it with Necromorphs your taking it too far. Also limbs felt harder to shoot off. Could just be me but I feel as though they've actually moved away from it with DS3 which was disappointing.

Of course I've only played the demo though but I enjoyed it so take that as you will :)

Absolutely insane. Man I'm hope they land on their feet EA needs to get the shit together badly....

This is why this industry has slow releases and none compelling games.

Why would anyone willingly work in the VG industry or specifically for one of these globocorp organizations that put you in constant fear of losing your livelihood based on terrible choices made by idiotic management, not the people with talent making the actual games?
