Publisher THQ, who is behind “WWE ’13,” has issued a short response in regards to reports that they have sold the WWE video game license to Take-Two Interactive.
But he's still firm that physical games aren't going away.
One high end console has always been a benefit. The other is no longer a necessity.
Only competition there ever was, was when one launched a year to a year and a half early. Based on this generation, the other would have to launch 2 to 4 years early just to compete. Because buying a huge part of the industry, having a multiple game sleep mode, cheaper in price, smaller form factor, supposedly having better BC and a day one subscription service, has still resulted in another huge ass kicking.
Yay for physical Take Two.
I wouldn't really call it competing when a company is dead last in sales when compared to the rival company. I will always stick around for physical copies of games. Moment games go all digital is the day I bring the SNES and Genesis out of hibernation and just stick to retro.
Take-Two announced its financial results for Q3 of the fiscal year on top of an update to sales figures of Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption 2, and more.
So 2.47% of the global population have a copy of gta v no wonder they don't want to release vi there's still so many people who haven't brought v
Obvious sarcasm here
To think that 5mil sold is considered a huge success for any game in general, and 10 is amazing. I cannot believe people are still buying this.
I keep saying that’s why the 7th generation was the most loved because of gta5 and Skyrim.
Well hopefully millions went to gta 6 singleplayer mode to make it extra epic but knowing rockstar nowadays there won't be a full support for singleplayer, mainly online will be the focus i bet but I hope atleast theres plenty to do in the open world and not just look good with little to nothing to do, after gta 6 ain no tellin when we will get another rockstar title even tho the mfs sucked in millions from red dead 2 as well I miss when we got more than 1 game a gen from them they always delivered, so many key staff members left not even just the well known names
Forbes writes: "While Take-Two is riding high on their announcement that a GTA 6 trailer is coming, its CEO has some…interesting ideas on how much video games could cost, part of a contingent of executives that believe games are underpriced, given their cost, length or some combination of the two."
Lmao how greedy can they get, sit on piles of cash and still want more. Then they have the cheek to release half assed remasters.
Due to this statement I am going to wait and buy GTA 6 when it is at 20 bucks. Its not like there are not more than enough other good games to play.
I dont agree with him as far as sentiment but I do buy my games like that. I'll pay full price for rpgs but not a shorter game unless it's an uncharted or last of us type game(not just those literally) I'm more inclined to pay full price for a dragon quest games instead of a Alan wake or something to that extent.
Well hopefully 2K adds more innovation and take their time with the game(s).
2k has only made Basketball games this gen what makes people think just because 2k will make a wwe game it will be great
I dunno, WWE13 was pretty fun IMO, tho it did take THQ many many years to produce such a result.. Would love to see an even bigger attitude and retro era roster for WWE14, only reason why I got 13 is cause of the attitude era, I don't care about the current wrestlers today.
2003's WWE Smackdown Here Comes The Pain was the last good wrestling game.
lets see can 2K top that.
Can they finally do a WWE game where they replace every animation for an entirely new mocaped version? not just a few.
It would make the game feel a lot more fresh and new instead of me playing it and thinking to myself "hey, there's that animation from SVR 2010"
