Weird thing about that F.E.A.R. thing is that the figure included in the CE was scarier than the actual game.

pr0t0typeknuckles4099d ago

ooh now thats a low blow, funny as heck and true, but low, bubble to you.

pr0t0typeknuckles4099d ago

lmao, agarest war was the best ive never seen a mouse pad like that in my like.

Snookies124099d ago

They make a TON of them in Japan with all sorts of characters... The boobs are one thing, but I laughed so hard when I saw a male version with "pecks" jutting out...... Couldn't help but think to myself, man-boobs?

ExCest4098d ago

That sh!t exists and in the internet world I live in, are common.

Tetsujin4099d ago

That Cardcaptor one definitely wins "why?" award; However as of late I'll just stick to the regular versions of games, special editions are only if it's the same price AND has something useful like a guide or some type of fold out map.

ziggurcat4099d ago

i never really saw the point of these things because i think it's a waste of money (and a lot of these have proven my point). the only one i ever got was for dark souls, but that was only because it was the same price as the regular edition... and when i got it, half of the pages in the art book were glued together, so it was ruined.

won't get fooled again.

BlueTemplar4099d ago

You wont get fooled into getting additional stuff for free again?

rainslacker4099d ago

It's a personal thing. Some people like to collect stuff, and those extra things are sometimes kind of cool if your into the games and such. Most of them aren't really worth it nowadays, and generally if you wait a couple months you can find them at lower prices. Saw the Ninja Gaiden 3 one at GS for $39.99 a couple weeks ago and it has a decent statue in it. In fact most have gone down like that this gen, so it's generally better to wait. If you miss out then oh well. Things like the Ni No Kuni Wizard Edition are rather rare, but NIS limited editions sometimes have nice stuff in them and they don't usually cost more than $20 more.

I've noticed a lot of times on this site, and some others, that people seem to assume that everyone that is picking up a collector's edition is doing so because they are trying to make an actual money investment, banking on the price going way up. While that may be true for some people out there, it's not really the case among most collectors, and again, games are generally terrible investments as they are generally a commodity that goes down in value in the short term. You usually have to wait a long time for older games prices to rise high enough to recoup investment outside of some exceptions (like Ni No Kuni), and even then it still only happens for those exceptions for the most part.

BLAKHOODe4099d ago

I would have included Batman: Arkham Asylum with it's cheap, plastic, mounted "batarang".

ElitaStorm4099d ago (Edited 4099d ago )

Sure.... right.... at least remake dead space 3 w/o microtransactions bs.

XiNatsuDragnel6d ago

I sometimes I wished I didn't Ngl lol

Knightofelemia7d ago

Why not remake DS2 whether shot down or not it's still my favorite game next to DS1. As much as I hate EA I would buy or would have bought DS2 day one.

MeteorPanda7d ago

No validity XD "Guys guys, we cant possible make a good game or cater to the gamers wants, stop"

Yi-Long7d ago

I don't know if sales met their expectations or not. I just know that the high review scores received my attention so I was interested in buying it, but its price stayed high (50+ bucks) for so long that I simply never bothered picking it up.

Tacoboto6d ago

Doesn't pay full price
Doesn't pay *any* price
Ponders if sales met expectations regarding an allegedly canceled sequel.

Gee...

Yi-Long6d ago

Well, for starters, I'm sure there are plenty of games I never bought which did, somehow, still, meet their sales-expectations.

Concerning Dead Space; I never played and thus cared for the original. It's in multiple genres (shooter, sci-fi, horror) I don't particularly care about so it was barely on my radar pre-launch. I was never its target-audience.

When reviews hit, and it was scoring big, it gathered my interest, so while it wasn't in my field of interest, it mrans that I wanted to give it a fair shot and at least give it a try, as I do with many games across different genres; I tend to just cherry-pick the good stuff and see if it's for me or not.

But, I do wait for sales on those games I take a risk on.

Kornholic6d ago (Edited 6d ago )

Lol, you are a huge part of the problem. If a very high-quality game is not even worth 50 bucks to you, then what is?

mariopasta26d ago

Hope they remake this one too. Just like they did with number 1. The remake of Dead Space 1 was perfection

Terry_B26d ago

thanks to the digital pass for it it was not perfect..in fact its difficult to find a working copy since many years.

I had no idea that Bad Company 2 was still running, and only now that I know, I want to jump on! 😥

SonyStyled129d ago

I was able to find games in the Vietnam dlc on ps3 the last week. There were articles on here about the server closure when it was announced in April

DaReapa129d ago

BF1943 is the only online MP game that I was genuinely interested in. Been playing since launch 14 years ago. Hate that I couldn't put in as much time to play as I'd hoped for during the final week.

Inverno129d ago

I got really into 43 when I bought Bf3, and preferred it. Everything that I disliked or found annoying about Bf3, wasn't an issue in 43. Too bad they never bothered releasing it on PS4 or PC.

1nsomniac129d ago (Edited 129d ago )

Dead Space 2...... I wasn't even aware that had multiplayer. Nevermind that it was apparently one of their best multiplayers!

anast128d ago

Once people stop buying micros, these companies close the doors.

Xenial128d ago

Dead Space 2 multiplayer had been hanging on for years - I'd boot my PS3 up to see some familiar names in lobbies. This will definitely be missed!
